Floods make them more venomous and more aggressive.

Feels like the kind of 'hanger-on' story that comes out and then amounts to nothing. It was a (reportedly?) minor issue with Katrina -- still, those rafts /shudder.

We had them during the flooding hear a couple of years ago.
