I was in Baton Rouge over the weekend, and everything there was quite eerily calm (with a little bit of drizzle thrown in). There may be a bit more happening in Louisiana this week.

We're still having trouble with our pump systems.   Everything is closing for tomorrow down here in NOLA.

Stay safe.  Don't tough it out.  Leave early if it looks like you need to and if you can.

Floods make them more venomous and more aggressive.

Feels like the kind of 'hanger-on' story that comes out and then amounts to nothing. It was a (reportedly?) minor issue with Katrina -- still, those rafts /shudder.

We had them during the flooding hear a couple of years ago.
