Trump on PR:

Quote

President Trump told Puerto Rico officials they should feel proud that hadn’t lost thousands of lives like in “a real catastrophe like Katrina,” and also said the devastated island territory was throwing the nation’s budget “a little out of whack” during his first visit there since Hurricane Maria ravaged the island nearly two weeks ago.

In case you thought Trump wasn't a monstrously evil narcissist.

Watching footage of Trump talk to a family in PR. "We're going to help you out, have a good time" is a thing he said.

Not sure what this has to do with the price of tea in the reach. Don't we have enough to squabble with sticking just to Westerosi politics?

Yup, and his tone deafness is exacerbated by the fact that his only real talents are in marketing and sales.

Listen, we have taxes to cut and Puerto Rico is really making things hard for the rich to get their tax cuts.

Here is another feather in their cap. The US rejects a UN resolution condemning the use of the death penalty against LGBTQ people

https://thinkprogress.org/united-nations-gay-death-penalty-36e6a5101ec9/amp/

Quote

Iraq, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE were among the 13 countries that joined the United States in rejecting the resolution, which was introduced by Belgium, Benin, Costa Rica, France, Mexico, Moldova, Mongolia, and Switzerland. A total of 27 countries supported it.

The resolution notably doesn’t call for the end to the death penalty. It simply condemns its usage in a discriminatory fashion. Besides the implications for people with same-sex orientations, ILGA also notes that when used to punish adultery, the death penalty is disproportionately imposed on women.

Uh, if you do not want to discuss anything on this site other than things directly related to Westeros, simply stay out of the General Chatter area. Discussing things unrelated to Westeros is precisely what General Chatter is for. :)

So for Orange Thingy's Vegas visit tomorrow, after he tells LV again what a 'miracle ' the shooting was....:ack:..... he would be free to spend some quality time with big GOP donors like Steve Wynn and Sheldon Anderson.

Then he could go visit Cliven Bundy's clan and spend some time comforting them that their 2nd Amendment rights will remain intact.

It should be a Wynn/win all around.

A, perhaps, less hyperbolic review of the catastrophe:

Clearly he's a big fan of Wonder Woman.

LOL. Here's a good rundown of all the mistakes he made today. God help us when he goes to Vegas tomorrow:

Well yeah, that's why no one was talking about Frederick Douglass for all those years. No one knew about him cause he was always flying around in his Invisible Jet. Extremely low profile.

Kasich says,

“Uh, I’m starting to think that the Republican Party is one sorry ass organization.”

http://www.slate.com/blogs/the_slatest/2017/10/01/john_kasich_hints_he_may_leave_the_gop_if_the_party_can_t_be_fixed.html

Quote

Ohio Gov. John Kasich has been one of the most vocal opponents to President Donald Trump within the Republican Party. And now he is making it clear that he could be willing to leave the GOP if things keep going down the current path. “If the party can't be fixed, Jake, then I'm not going to be able to support the party,” Kasich told CNN’s Jake Tapper on Sunday. “Period. That's the end of it.”

As far as fixing the Republican Party, I think you're going to need a blow torch and a few gallons of jet fuel.
