I know, I know, but it felt so right! Just one more little hit JA. I only want one more hit.

'Choose life'. 'Choose life' was a well meaning slogan from a 1980's anti-drug campaign and we used to add things to it, so I might say for example, choose... designer lingerie, in the vain hope of kicking some life back into a dead relationship. Choose handbags, choose high-heeled shoes, cashmere and silk, to make yourself feel what passes for happy. Choose an iPhone made in China by a woman who jumped out of a window and stick it in the pocket of your jacket fresh from a South-Asian Firetrap. Choose Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram and a thousand others ways to spew your bile across people you've never met. Choose updating your profile, tell the world what you had for breakfast and hope that someone, somewhere cares. Choose looking up old flames, desperate to believe that you don't look as bad as they do. Choose live-blogging, from your first wank 'til your last breath; human interaction reduced to nothing more than data. Choose ten things you never knew about celebrities who've had surgery. Choose screaming about abortion. Choose rape jokes, slut-shaming, revenge porn and an endless tide of depressing misogyny. Choose 9/11 never happened, and if it did, it was the Jews. Choose a zero-hour contract and a two-hour journey to work. And choose the same for your kids, only worse, and maybe tell yourself that it's better that they never happened. And then sit back and smother the pain with an unknown dose of an unknown drug made in somebody's fucking kitchen. Choose unfulfilled promise and wishing you'd done it all differently. Choose never learning from your own mistakes. Choose watching history repeat itself. Choose the slow reconciliation towards what you can get, rather than what you always hoped for. Settle for less and keep a brave face on it. Choose disappointment and choose losing the ones you love, then as they fall from view, a piece of you dies with them until you can see that one day in the future, piece by piece, they will all be gone and there'll be nothing left of you to call alive or dead. Choose your future, Manny. Choose life.

Also, in addition to draft slots, the win was an investment in nothing. Anyone who is young and talented enough to be any part of our future is in IR, except Buckner and maybe Hyde. So basically lose-lose.

Okay, seriously -- is there some conspiracy to suppress retail recordings of the Super Bowl broadcast? All my father in law wants for Christmas is a DVD of the damn game and 3 Games to Glory isn't quite that, is it? I can't find any option to just have the TV broadcast in portable recorded form. I have it on my DVR, but that's no use. I was better off with a VHS player!

I'm probably not the guy to ask, as I have the technical electronics expertise of a badly trained chimp, but it looks like you can download a DVR recording onto a zip drive or directly onto your computer with a USB cord. Not sure what you'd do with it from there though. Burn it onto a DVD?

This, to me, is the defining post of the 2017 49ers season. When CJ Beathard is pumping my gas some day, we'll reflect back fondly on the time the 49ers overcame 2x Superbowl Champ Eli Manning and this post.

Jace read my comment correctly. It looked like Case was going to get benched in the second half after his second interception. Bridgewater was warming up on the sideline and looked like he was going in the next series. And it’s common knowledge that they want to get him in when they can.

FOX Sports' Jay Glazer reports the Vikings were "very tempted" to start Teddy Bridgewater this week against the Rams.

Case Keenum got the nod following his big Week 10 performance where he threw for 304 yards and four scores, so coach Mike Zimmer really couldn't go away from him for Week 11. However, it appears the leash is very short for Keenum, and he could be pulled at the first inkling of trouble. Per Glazer, the Vikings view Bridgewater "as their franchise," so they want to get him reps now that he's healthy. Keenum could easily get yanked versus the Rams' top-end defense.

I think it’s important to keep in mind how much Bridgewater means to this team and it’s fan base emotionally. It may not be the best reason to bench Case for him, but it’s certainly a motivating factor.

If I'm AJ Green, and a young player like that starts flapping his gums, I just pull a paycheck stub out of my jock and throw it at 'em.

On the negative side I was starting Tyrod in two leagues this week.  Looks like I'm going w cutler in one and bortles in the other. (Incidently while the site seems to have an emoticon search function, none of puke, sick, or vomit came up w a result.)  Had Rodgers in one league and dalton in another but switched to TT when he was on bye.

On the other hand, I have a bet where I'm taking the dolphins to have a better record than the Bills where the loser has to buy a mark sanchez jersey and reenact the butt fumble in a public venue.  So this probably helps.
