While I agree completely... I think this thread is about shows making their debut in 2018...

Isn't Krypton making its debut in 2018?

Westworld is not new and really Real Detective too. so I guess I should of said The Expanse (season 3)

Considering how many people I meet who don't know about The Expanse its almost like it is new!

I am interested in The Alienist since I liked the novel.

Boy Lost in Space , I absolutely hated that Irwin Allen juvie back in the 1960's.

Snowpiercer , man I don't know , I like that movie, tho I was not as taken by it as most, thought the last third was looking for an ending it never found. It is one those stories that could involve a top of tap dancing, which has happened to Man in a High Castle and , for me, Stranger Things.

I am mostly in the dark about new 2018 shows. Of those I am aware of, most interested in:

The Alienist (the novel was very good)

Lost in Space (Toby Stephens is reason enough)

Counterpart (very intriguing premise)

The Ballad of Buster Scruggs (Coen Bros are always entertaining)

The Expanse and The Last Kingdom seasons 3 are 1a and 1b for me - although it wouldn't surprise me if the latter gets released in 2019.

Next is season 3 of The Magicians.

The Alienist is the only new show that I know enough about to make me interested in it.

Game of Thrones season 8, if it happens, tops my list.

Altered Carbon- Netflix, February release according to Werthead.

American Gods season 2

House of Cards season 6

Billions Season 3

Watership Down

When is AMC's "The Terror" finally due? No one seems to know.

From ACB's list I am interested in Lost in Space ( is this a comedy SF series or drama?) Ballad by the Coen Brothers, True Detective 3, Dannemora, The Passage ( very interested in seeing a TV show of this, but I question the cast), Trust, Brittania, Fall of Troy, Sharp Objects, Westworld II and The Romanoffs by Matt Weiner of Mad Men fame.

I'll also second the subsequent seasons of Gomorrah and Last Kingdom.

Star Trek: Discovery Season 2 just started production, which was a surprise. I thought that was going to be 2019, but if they're shooting now they probably want to get it on screen around the same time next year. The Orville will also be back.

Altered Carbon, certainly. We might get The Witcher but I don't think it starts shooting until spring, so it's more likely 2019.

Everything I'm hearing heavily suggests that Game of Thrones will air in either February or April 2019. Autumn 2018 is apparently possible but quite unlikely, since they won't finish shooting until July or August and the post production requirements on the series will be immense.

The Terror's provisional air date is April 2018. It's finished filming and the cast held a private screening last week.

We have similar taste, my dear <3

If we get Sense8 finale in 2018, it will be a year to remember.

These are the only shows from your list, I knew were coming, and out of them, Westworld season 2 interests me the most, but I'll give Britannia a look for sure, and maybe Snowpiercer.

Krypton is a new show I have some interest in, but I can't think of any others.

For returning shows, The Expanse, The Last Kingdom and Stranger Things are at the top of my list right now.

The first teaser for Trust has now been released online, and it reveals Donald Sutherland in the J. Paul Getty role. The 10-episode limited series is executive produced and directed by Oscar-winning Slumdog Millionaire and Trainspotting filmmaker Danny Boyle, with Oscar-winning Slumdog scribe Simon Beaufoy writing the series.Filling out the cast is Hilary Swank, Harris Dickinson, and Brendan Fraser. Trust premieres on FX in January.

I had no idea that either Danny Boyle nor the Coens were making TV shows. Great stuff.

Interestingly, the Boyle one appears to be going directly head to with Ridley Scott, coming as it does a month after All The Money in the World gives a cinema take on exactly the same story.
