Why aren’t Hawaii and Norway closer?

The Pacific plate is carrying Hawaii northwest-ish. Not the quickest route but it is closer to Norway each year, which is moving a lot slower in an arc towards Hawaii.

Unfortunately Australia is slowly headed towards the northern hemisphere craziness.

Is that with or without accounting for the Bogan Drag?

We've even been having Australian weather at the moment. 30 Celsius for days on end is wrong.

For those still stuck in Imperial units, Celsius is just like Fahrenheit except it's not completely stupid.

As a quick reference table, refer below:

Temperature:

- 40 Celsius = - 40 Fahrenheit

Metric length:

1000mm = 1m

1000m = 1km

Simple!

Imperial units

3 feet = 1 ounce

1,201.46 miles = 34.3 tons
