A long long time ago (probably in law school) I read a story about lawyers in a court room in Ontario, as it is now called, when an immigrant lawyer from England walked in in his English robes, with wig. This was early 1800s. The other lawyers snatched his wig off his head and stomped on it, telling him lawyers don't do that shit here. So he can filter all of this out as the product of what you have to say to avoid time on the reindeer chain gang.
