How can one expect the Republicans to refuse to accept him is he wins if they let him be a member of the party? By being a member of the party, the implication is that the party accepts him and he is entitled to any electoral success he achieves under the Republican banner. The reason Lipinski ran unopposed in 2016 is because Jones was removed from the ballot due to the election board deeming enough of his signatures invalid.
