Kunt Aguero is well....a cunt. Quality player but a sore loser.

Feel better now, do you?

Footage showed Aguero staying on the pitch despite the invasion, which shows guts, chatting with an opponent (suggesting "sore loser" is a fallacy). First, one cowardly idiot decides to pull at his hair from behind (takes it, no reaction), then another idiot decides to square up to him, invading his personal space, and he lashes out after taking it for a few seconds. He shouldn't have lashed out but it was quite understandable.

Kunt is still a cunt.

I think we're all losing sight of the most important fact about last night's game, which is that Fabian Delph was sent off for a challenge on a guy who is genuinely named Max Power.

I was citing Samuel, as he is a well known columnist in the UK, in a very high position. I never suggested that because he thinks the same as I do that it means I am right. What it does do, though, is discounts Baxus' comments where he says I am using 'obviously flawed logic', which suggests that no one could possibly agree with me. Maybe now, he can see that my opinions might not be that wild, even if he doesn't agree with them. But, given his comments, I think I am reaching with that one.

The fact that you found someone who agrees with you only shows that there are now two people (we know of) who are using obviously flawed logic. ;)

I don’t really see what Aguero did being cuntish. He was getting messed with by a fan and lashed out a bit. If you run onto the pitch and start fucking with the opposing teams players you can’t expect them to just take it like robots. Players are human too.

Super excited to watch Barca/Chelsea later.

From a Chelsea perspective, it always feels like a Derby when we play Barcelona.

There's a lot of confident Chelsea fans, even some pundits, who have been banging on about how we are unbeaten in our last six games against them, and Messi hasn't scored against us in any of the eight matches he's played against us, but they seem to forget that we last played nearly six years ago. That 'form' no longer counts.

Of the current Chelsea squad, only Luiz and Cahill were at the club last time we met Barcelona, and Luiz missed both games due to injury; Cahill played the first leg of the semi-final in '12 and got injured during the second leg.

Back then, no matter how we were doing in the league, I felt we had a chance against Barcelona because of the players we had: Cech never let us down in a big game; Terry would give his all, maybe too much, sometimes; Ashley Cole never lost a battle in a big game; Lampard was always a calm, reliable presence; and Drogba was the big game, big moment specialist.

None of those players are left, and none of the players we have compare. Some of our current squad are maybe more talented than some of those previously mentioned names, but they have never risen to the occasion in a big Champions League match before. This is their chance to make a difference, I suppose.

But this a completely different era of Chelsea Football Club to the era that was successful against Barcelona.

Not really just about last night though. Aguero often gets pissy when things aren't going his way. He has a nasty streak which tends to go under the radar so he isn't branded 'public enemy #1' like, say, Costa. Wigan should be sanctioned for their security measures and failing to protect both sets of players and Aguero should be sanctioned as well. Just because a fan was fucking with him doesn't mean it's justified for him to go after the person like that otherwise an incident like Evra kicking a fan can be justified as well since he was also being (verbally) fucked with.

Yeah, he's always been this way. See also him trying to cripple David Luiz on two separate occasions.

Aguero probably won't get banned for as long as Cantona because the fan did get on the pitch and in his face but he should be out for a while. Unless it's true he spat on him, because anyone should get a free shot at a man who's gobbed on them, even Sergio Aguero.

He doesn't really punch the guy in fairness, it's a sort back swing of his arm/shoving him away. He goes after him like he wants to punch him but Arteta and one of the Wigan players do him a favour by dragging him away. He might get banned but it's really not anywhere near the Cantona level.

All the controversy about the afters just deflects from the fact that a near full strength City team was nullified and beaten by Wigan.  Walker’s step-over is like Gerrard’s slip, and the City players losing the plot is like Spurs melt down against Chelsea as they failed to chase Leicester.  Just for a moment, I want to dream about the greatest collapse of all time that sees Liverpool dramatically over-take City to snatch the title.

Glorious.

OK, back to reality.  Chelsea and Barca should be a good game but I’ve no way to watch it here in Hawaii, nor would I stay inside and miss out on the sunshine.  I’ll only be able to see short highlights online.  I’m relying on you all to fill in the gaps.

Well, it's being reported that neither Guardiola nor Aguero will face any sanctions as the FA have deemed that no misconduct took place. Go figure.

Eh, again I don't think Aguero's actually done a huge amount and apparently he's considering pressing charges against the guy, so presumably he probably did spit on him since it's a different matter saying that to the police over saying it to get out of an FA charge. It wouldn't really be a great look for the FA to be banning a player for shoving away a fan who ends up getting convicted of assaulting him.

Hazard false nine tonight.

I remember, after we beat Huddersfield 3-0, saying on here that I thought we should go with Pedro, Willian and Hazard up front against Barcelona, but I’ve since changed my mind.

Really thought we would go 352 tonight, with Hazard playing off Morata, but it seems Conte wants to try expose Barcelona’s high line with a fast front three.

This could be a tactical masterclass or a complete disaster.
