But yes, the big difference is the Ironborn are more organized, better equipped, and thus more dangerous. I am not a fan of either people. Both are about to lay waste to Westeros, unfortunately. Curled Finger Posted February 17, 2018 Share Posted February 17, 2018 The Wildlings. Their history, closeness to the ferocity of the 1st Men, pride and love of freedom are the future of Westeros. When they learn to be productive citizens of the larger society they will be a force to reckon with. Why is Selyse marrying and planning to marry so many "noble" Wildlings off to her own men? The Ironborn are not hopeless. Asha is written as some silly bad ass viking warrior pirate but as we learn more from her own thoughts, she's just a woman who wants assimilation and a real future for her people.
