SkynJay Posted March 31, 2018 Share Posted March 31, 2018 Recently The Denver Post laid off half of its newsroom. My days of supported the vulture investment group that owns it are over. But I admit I am not loving any of the coverage I have seen from free online sources. Several days after the layoff the Denver Post lost three of their remaining sports reporters; this time to an online publication called The Athletic. And I admit, I am intrigued. I have hopes of something like Grantlland, though that may be too lofty. But at the least they look to have some quality writers and a good local scene. But since they have not even officially launched their Denver coverage yet I come here to see if anyone is already subscribing to this site and what they think; they have a free trial but I plan on waiting to start it until the Denver team gets running for a while.
