There probably should be a grace period of at least two weeks or as much as a month.

Darn.  Ah, I've got the monkey on my back, ser, the compulsion to document every bit of info.  Ah, I'm ready to burst.

(Is it okay if we update the wiki with a few minor spelling corrections?  Based on the live-reads:  "Aethon Velaryon" is actually "Aethan Velaryon", etc.  There are already articles on such characters based on the live-reads, this would just be getting the spelling accurate).

Question:  You mentioned this in a video once:  The Battle Beneath the Gods Eye was indeed, the first time two dragons clashed since the Doom of Valyria?  So this confirms that the other four that accompanied Balerion to Dragonstone didn't die fighting each other?

I ran into this myself. I have found that if I reload the main page and then try to login again, it tends to work. Not quite sure what's going on with this, and we're busy trying to get some stuff moved, but once we do that we'll try and see what the problem is.

Just reporting I've had this issue this morning on my mobile. Eventually, I managed to log in by going to desktop view, and reloading the page a few times.

And what of the Rogar vs Robar situation ser?

Quote

George did both Rogar and Robar when he originally wrote the thing, and we made the decision to go with Robar. It seems he missed that when he passed it on to Gardner for editing, and Gardner went the other way.

I'd go with Robar until F&B comes out, as that'll get an editing pass from Anne and Linda and I, and we can call it to George's attention.

Okay, on reading this I see what you're saying:  both you and Dozois were working off the same inconsistent notes; he chose one, you chose the other.  This is how I've tried to reconcile it:

http://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Robar_Baratheon#Note

Also updated:

  • Rhalla Targaryen --> Rhaella Targaryen (daughter of Aegon)
  • Aethon Velaryon --> Aethan Velaryon
  • Sargasso Saan --> Sargoso Saan

I'd redirect Rogar to Robar for the time being, with a note on the Robar page about "Sons of the Dragon" providing an alternative rendition of the name and, if people feel it necessary and appropriate, a reference to my comment regarding Fire and Blood providing a definitive decision on the character's name.

(I already did, ser)

That rings no bells.

Is the title "Mountain King" used in the books? I haven't found it in AFFC.

Can't find anything, but the description given on that page is that of the legend of Ser Artys Arryn killing the Griffin King. The only two passages mentioning the Griffin King do not state anything about "Mountain King" as his title.

Makes it feel like it's something that should be dropped from the wiki, or it should be clarified that it comes from a non-canonical source.

Ran,

About the grace period for the Sons of the Dragon, how long would you like it to be? Two weeks, or a full month?

Lets do a month to keep it in line with spoilers for the board.

I guess Harmen Dondarrion on the wiki should now be Harmon Dondarrion?

Some time ago someone decided to go with culture instead of origin. I am not really sure on the reason, but I guess it is somewhere in this thread.

There was some discussion in the summer, but Ckram pointed out "I think this would require that we knew all the ethnic adjectives of Martin's world, which we don't."

Oh, I actually thought that someone really changed it all over the wiki, but apparently that is not the case. So yes, I do not think that the wiki needs such a category. Is it not the same with Category:Ironborn?
