I see that The Lancet (one of the world's top medical journals) has seriously put the boot in about what the Pope said. The article is not available online, but the [url="http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/7967173.stm"]BBC[/url] has quoted it pretty accurately:
