Matrim Fox Cauthon
It's my opinion! And if you have a different opinion then you are completely wrong!
No Stranger to Valyrian Steel
That is only your opinion! Damn, Fox was TOO FAST for me.
Matrim Fox Cauthon
Well considering how many times it is said in an RJ thread, saying it another time definately does not hurt.
Jagged
O God no, this damn thread followed us here.
ants
Well, if he's a sell-out, then I should be able to buy myself into a chapter of his last book. I think I deserve to win Tarmon Gai'don, and I'll put down 100 USD dollars for the privelege. Where can I send the check? No one has ever said he's a cheap sell out. Jagged
No one has ever said he's a cheap sell out. Yah, maybe if we all pool our cash we can get Elyane killed off in the first 10 pages of the next book in some horrific manner.
perspicacious
Nah, he's not a sellout. He's just a horrible author, and has been from the beginning.
Maid Sansa
If he was a sellout, it would mean that he has sacrificed the quality of his work for money. That, however, implies that he had some quality to start with, and that I cannot agree with. Just my opinion, of course.
Gerold Hightower
So you are saying he isn't a sellout because he is a hack?
Maid Sansa
Can't he be both? Yes, personally I think his selloutness is not so much important as his all-encompassing hackdom. Still just my opinion and not a statement of fact, however.

Guest OsRavan
I have yet to see any of you give any proof that he is a sellout. you are all simpyl stating baseless opinions on this fact
Maid Sansa
Whoo, boy... OK, here goes: we're NOT trying to prove to anyone that he's a sellout. It is NOT out intention to establish the exact degree of RJ's selloutness by producing printed proof. We're merely expressing our opinions, which are all marked as such. And opinions are not baseless - they are based on our subjective perceptions of RJ's work. This, admittedly, does not make them incontrovertible proof, but they are not baseless, either. There's nothing wrong with exchanging opinions.
