Kariggi
That's pretty much the brunt of it. Is there any indication in the books of whether Septas or Septons can marry? I can't recall any that were married but what I recall is often suspect.Sorry wrong forum.
Brude
I'm pretty sure they can't. None that appear in the books ever is married. The church of the Seven seems to take most of its cues from the Catholic church, though instead of nuns for females, the Septas I believe administer as a priesthood for the female aspects of the Seven. The Silent Sisters seem to be more like nuns, however.Near as I can tell, the Septons might have some sort of greater authority than the Septas - I don't think there has ever been a Great Septa and I'd be surprised if it is even possible. It is a patriarchal society, very much, and I even get the impression that you won't find a Septa leading a Sept, that it will always be a Septon in charge, so in that sense maybe the Septas are a little closer to nuns than a female priesthood.
