BarrileteCosmico
Is it me or was Ned's sword in the last episode not nearly impressive as you pictured Ice to be? Looked like a typical longsword to me. Not the great Ice made out of valyrian steel that was taller than a teenage Robb. Or maybe he was just not using Ice. Anyways, what did you guys think? Ran
He was not using Ice, just as he didn't have Ice with him in the corresponding scene in the novel. Ned is never depicted with Ice in the novel except in Bran's first chapter and Catelyn's first chapter. We don't even know for a fact that he carried and used it at the tower of joy. Andhaira
I could be wrong, but I distinctly recall Ned unsheathing Ice after saying, "No, now it ends." in the ToJ scene.
herkles
Ice is mentioned when he has to kill Lady. I am curious do you think they are not going to include mentioning about the houses family blades though?

I was confused at first too, since Ice, when we see it in the first episode, is huge, whereas that sword looked like a normal longsword. But it makes sense that Ned would carry a smaller sword for normal occasions.
