Morrigan Posted June 11, 2011 Share Posted June 11, 2011 Yeah, they never mentioned Stannis being on the council and investigating with Jon Arryn in the TV series, so they'll probably have Ned's letter reach him. Whatever works, I guess. I like the book story better though. :P But, the TV version allows at least one of Ned's act to have a legacy, in a way, I guess that's something (even though it furthers the war :P).In the books it is noted that Stannis and Jon Arryn visit at least one of the bastards together, I can't remember whether it's Gendry or Barra, I'm thinking Gendry. So Stannis knew what Jon knew. Stannis visited both. Ned is surprised as hell (or rather, incredulous) when he learns that Stannis and Jon Arryn visited a brothel, but later he visits Gendry, and learns that Stannis was there too (though Stannis just said nothing and glared at Gendry, according to the boy :lol:).
