House Wyldfowle

Founder: Devan the Poacher.

Sigil: Two Ducks

Motto: Fly and live

Seat: Duckfast, in the Crownlands, eight leagues from Rook’s Rest

Lady: Lyvia Wyldfowle

Heir: Shaera Wyldfowle, pregnant and married to Ser Harruld Wyldfowle, a second and third cousin and Knight of Drake Lake.

Military: 200 men

Lord Wyldfowle and his heir died during the Battle of Redgrass Field. His second son Lord Keran agreed with Bloodraven they should be harsh to those who joined the Blackfyres.

They have a Cadet branch, House Wyldfowle of Drake Lake, which can call 80 men. This was founded when a previous Lord Wyldfowle gave it to his second son in gratitude for their deeds during a Blackfyre Rebellion.

They have a reputation for being good archers.

Duckfast rules what is called the most marshy and miserable area between Duskendale and Maidenpool. The Wyldfowle are a relatively new House, who made their trade through being good hunters. Apparently, when an Andal King was hungry after defeating a rebellious Lord he was given a feast of fowl by a poacher who had been running from the Lord. The King was so pleased he gave some of the Lord’s lands to the poacher.

When there was an attack by the Hoares on the Neck, Wyldfowles were brought there to help guide them through, having experience in marshy lands. However Sebbi Wyldfowle and the troops he was guiding disappeared. It is rumored Sebbi joined the Crannogmen in anger at the tyranny of the Ironmen. One of Sebbi's cousins, Gavyn, died fighting the Kingdom of the Storm.

During Aegon’s Conquest Gavin's older brother Lord Mortimer Wyldfowle sent his son Merrett and two nephews against Aegon. However, on seeing his dragons they surrendered, though others claim Mortimer did so in revenge at House Hoare for his brother's death.

Lord Lorys Wyldfowle remained neutral during the Dance but declared for Rhaenyra when she took King’s Landing. However he turned against her during her rule. When Cregan Stark approached King’s Landing he joined him.

Emma Wyldfowle had an affair with Aegon IV, who saw her while riding through the Crownlands in 165. He later claimed he had caught fine fowl and enjoyed it for many nights. A year later, Emma gave birth to Quenta Waters, who married a Pentoshi trader.

Frederik's bastard sister joined the Silent Sisters.

Shaera Wyldfowle’s mother was Sara Longwaters. The Wyldfowles were growing poor and Sara’s father was growing rich through shipping. Sara married Frederik and the House were able to recover by transporting their fowl during winter to King’s Landing.

Lord Frederik Wyldfowle marched against Duskendale during its defiance. His brother Ser Mortimer had joined the Night's Watch, but died fighting Wildlings in 270.

Frederik died at the Battle of the Trident. His archers killed Ser Jared Terrick, but he died when he fell off his horse after Rhaegar’s death and was trampled by his fleeing men.

His two sons had died of a fever so his oldest daughter had married a cousin. He died during the Greyjoy Rebellion in the storming of Great Wyk, leaving his wife Lady of Duckfast. Before he left, he made the arrangement with his cousin Ser Howard for their son to marry Shaera when Lyvia continued miscarrying. The marriage occurred in 298. Ser Harruld wanted to attend the Hand's Tourney, but was persuaded not to until he had a son. His brother Ser Mortimer went, but was defeated on the second day.

Ser Harruld met Davos Seaworth when he came to their lands after visiting Stannis. He got on well with him, and noted how both their houses had begun through a thief giving food to royalty. Davos named his next son Devan after the Poacher.

Harruld met Davos again when they were spreading news of Joffrey’s illegitimacy. He told him he would like to support him, but Duckfast was too close to King’s Landing. The Wyldfowles were slow to assist the Lannisters.

Frederik’s mother was a Brune of Brownhollow.

Tanda Stokeworth once tried to have Ser Harruld marry Lollys, but his father Ser Howard refused.

When Randyll Tarly passed he insulted them, saying he would have had Devan’s fingers cut off.

House Harefoot

Sigil: A brown Hare on green

Words: Run and live

Seat: Greatwarren Hold, located to the South-East of the Reach

Founder: Harryld the Hare

Appearance: Small and furry, have a reputation as tricksters, not trusted.

Lord: Hazil Harefoot

Heir: Ser Petyr Harefoot

Military: 1000 men

History: Reputed to have outwitted Lord Florent out of his ship a thousand years ago.

House Oldflowers was founded after a cousin of King Gardner who had been sent to Oldtown deflowered a niece of Lord Hightower. They were known as the Oldtown Flowers, later the Oldflowers. A Harefoot girl married the heir of the first Lord Oldflowers.

Elysa Harefoot married Lord Voipli's heir in 26. They had three sons and three daughters.

A Harefoot was married to Lord Florent at the Field of Fire. The Harefoots supported the Florent claim to Highgarden. There are rumours they were behind the Florent conspiracy of Aenys’ reign, when there was apparently a plan for the Florents to take Highgarden. Lord Florent had married a Hightower and one of his daughters had married Lanker, heir to Casterly Rock. There were apparently messages moving between various Houses, to bring a petition to the King. However Aenys’ death prevented this.

In 48 one of Lord Garland Harefoot's sons spoke against Maegor, calling him an impious usurper, and Maegor threatened to strip his father of their lands, killing the son. Harefoot declared for Jaehaerys and his lands remained intact. However both his remaining sons died in the conflict. Jaehaerys legitimized his bastard Morys, who married Gemma Merryweather and had two sons, continuing the Harefoot line.

Lord Harefoot in the Dance of the Dragons tricked Lord Wyldfowle into getting shot as he was on the opposing side. Hence there is a rivalry between their Houses.

In Daeron's Conquest of Dorne Lord Harefoot's second son Garth died from a fever. His third son Horace died in the battles to hold Dorne from a thrown spear in the back. His nephew Lord Tytos declared for the Blackfyres, hoping his good-father Lord Rowan would. However, this didn't occur. When Baelor's forces approached he surrendered Greatwarren and was pardoned, though his heir Horace was a hostage in King's Landing for 4 years.

Hazil has 11 children from two wives, Caswell and Varner, and 14 bastards. He has 32 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

He has remained neutral in the war so far. His fourth son Morys wanted to join Stannis. His fifth son Garlan is in Essos, as a sellsword. Hazil’s first daughter Elissa married Lord Mullendore. His heir is married to Temma Cuy and has four children. His sixth daughter Inly is a Silent Sister. His eldest bastard Mesa Flowers, is married to a Knight who died on the Blackwater. His second bastard Germin Flowers is the Maester at Brightwater Keep.

Harefoot was the 988th Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch. He became infamous for siring a bastard on the way to join the Watch in Mole Town and sending funds to provide for them. He died at 58, his bastard having joined 7 years before, becoming a Steward.

His Siblings: Jeor Snow (32), Jyk Greycloak (23)

History: Though originally one family under the name of Saren, the family has since branched of into two separate families identified for the background colour on their sigil's. The Saren's were one of the most prominent First Men families in the North at the time of the Long Night, second only to their King, Brandon 'The Builder' Stark. When the First Men and the Children of the Forest made their stand against the White Walker's, Lord Helman Saren had constructed a sword made of the two metal's that could fight them. He used this sword while standing side by side with Brandon.

For their valor they were granted a keep near Winterfell, which they ruled until the war which saw the Stark's conquering the Neck, whereupon they built their castle, Greyhelm; at the time a warning against the Crannogmen, should they ever try to rise up.

The family split came a hundred years before Aegon's Landing, when the youngest son of Lord Saren bed the daughter of the King, resulting in the birth of a Bastard. The Saren's were punished for this, some lands being given to the Reed's and the son banished to the Wall. The Bastard forced the Stark's to eat their words, though, when he put down the rebelling Lord Bolton and his son so quickly, that many forget their was even another uprising. This man wanted to form his own house, and was invited to serve as the 'Sword of the Wolf' (a bodyguard) in Winterfell.

When Brandon Snow wanted to sneak into Aegon's camp and kill his dragons, Lord Jorah Greycloak and Donnel Redcloak were the first to volunteer to join him.

Over the years, the position Sword of the Wolf has become less like a glorified guard, and more into a right hand man for Lord Stark, offering advice and often being the first choice to lead an army if Lord Stark cannot.

At the Tourney of Harrenhall Beric Redcloak was shown to possess the Rage for the first time in his life when Robert Baratheon was betrothed to Lyanna Stark, causing the the young man to leave in a fit of anger.

Beric's father, Rodrik, was one of Brandon Stark's companions in King's Landing and died their alongside Lord Rickard and Brandon, while Lord Daryn Redcloak (Robbett and Rodrik's own father) was slain by Jon Connington in defense of Robert at the Battle of the Bells. After hearing of his family's deaths. Beric began to use a company of sellswords to harass Rhaegar's army as they approached the Trident. Beric himself led a charge to smash to reserve before they could commit to the fighting. Unfortunately, his eldest cousin, Edderion, squire for Lord Eddard, was slain by the spear of Lewyn Martell that was aimed at Eddard Stark's back.

Robbett Redcloak, the new Sword of the Wolf, followed Ned Stark to the Tower of Joy, where he slew Gerold Hightower in single combat. He was witness to Ned's promise to Lyanna.

During the Greyjoy rebellion, the Greycloak forces led the Vanguard in the battle of Seaguard. Lord Dorren Greycloak saved Jason Mallister's life, but was slain by Rodrik Greyjoy for it, leading to Jeor Snow and Mallister's brutal attack that left Rodrik a mangled corpse. Meanwhile, Maric Redcloak had taken the five Manderly warships and sailed to Dragonstone. He followed Stannis to Fair Isle, and then to Great Wyk, quickly coming to idolize the middle Baratheon brother. On Pyke, Robbett was killed by Victarion Greyjoy, though not before killing a half dozen other Iron Born. In response to this, Domeric Redcloak broke guest right, tried to kill Theon Greyjoy, and was exiled to the Night's Watch for it. Maric remained on Dragonstone, becoming Stannis' captain of the guard.

Adam and Beric found two black direwolves along with the grey wolves after the execution of the deserter. They were named Vex and Shadow. Beric later traveled to King's Landing with Ned and continued serving him there. He and Shadow were killed along with the Stark household.

Adam marched south with Robb, and was the last man to declare Robb King in the North. Kylin Greycloak led the Greycloak foot with Roose Bolton, while Jeor led a small band of Northern heavy horse around the Riverlands, joined by Karyl Vance and Marq Piper, ambushing Lannister patrols and disrupting their supply lines. Maric sailed his ship 'Red Wolf' in the Battle of the Blackwater, after being named Stannis' Master of Laws and betrothed to Princess Shireen. The ship was destroyed in the Wildfire explosion, and Maric is presumed dead, though his body was never found.

After the events of the Red Wedding, Adam and Kylin's eldest son, led a portion of loyalist's to try and rescue Robb, but after they saw their King's mutilated corpse they retreated back to Greyhelm, where the Castellan, Jyk, readily welcomed them. Kylin was taken prisoner by the Frey's and Jeor is still in the Riverlands. Adam led the non-Greycloak forces North (with help from various Lord's) to meet with Stannis. Jyk was forced to bend the knee to avoid his older brother's execution, though they sent no troops to aid Bolton in the coming battle, aside from those who aided the Frey's in the Red Wedding, led by Kylin's traitorous uncle Roger.

House Molder of Flanders' Keep
Sigil:
Black dog outlined in white on a blue field.
Words:         "Always Loyal"
Seat:             Flanders' Keep
Region:         The Vale of Arryn (formerly the North)
Lord:             Michael Molder
Heir:              Arryk Molder
Allegiance:       House Arryn
                          House Lannister
                               House Targaryen (secret)
                          House Tyrell (formerly)
House Bartheon of King's Landing (formerly)
                          House Stark (formerly)
Religion:    Faith of the Seven
Military Strength:    23
Ancestral Weapon:    Nightbringer (Valaryian Black Steel sword)
Founder:    Michael Molder

History

House Molder of Flanders' Keep (a cadet branch of House Molder founded in the North by Henry the Stone-Molder, a prolific stonemason of the North) originated under Michael Molder (whose older brothers Davos and Karl also carried the name Molder), who served in the Stark Auxiliaries. Wounded in battle during Robert's Rebellion, Eddard Stark awarded Michael with a keep of his own in part due to his years of service, where he and his wife Lady Kara (born to the house of Hudson, another minor household founded by Sellsword Robert Hudson) would raise their son Arryk (named in honor of House Arryn, who Michael served as a quartermaster during Robert's Rebellion), daughter Joslyn, and youngest daughter Dyanna.

Tragedy would befall House Molder of Flanders' Keep during the War of the Five Kings. Due to their unusual belief in the Faith of the Seven (being one of the few Northern houses to do so), Michael and his family (along with a contingency of house guards and servants) were on Pilgrimage to the Sept of Baelor in King's Landing (though outraged over the death of Eddard at the hands of Joffrey, Michael's warrior days were long since over, thus Robb Stark did not call Lord Michael's banner for war, keeping them out of the conflict) when Lord Michael received terrible news. A raven delievered the terrible message that the Boltons and Freys had betrayed House Stark and slaughtered most of the great Northern Houses in the Red Wedding. More so, the Boltons had quickly moved in on the Northern houses, burning and flaying most of the families and keeps of Lords sworn to House Stark (including his brothers). Believing his former liege lord's household extinct and fearful for his family's life, Lord Michael chartered a ship and migrated his family to the Vale, where Lord Michael believed that House Arryn's neutrality would keep his family free of harm.

Out of pity and in recognition for his service to House Arryn, Lord Robin (under the regency of his mother Lysa) granted Lord Michael the long vacated castle of Flanders' Keep (the Flanders' bloodline having died out generations ago). Lord Michael would find himself serving House Arryn as a records keeper, being noted for his meticulousness and punctuality. This would lead to a further elevation when Lord Molder was commissioned by Mace Tyrell to serve as the Master of Ships and Master of Coin's Envoy to the Vale, giving Lord Michael the unique position of serving the Crown from his keep in the Vale.

With the recent death of Mace Tyrell and the destruction of the Holy Sept of Baelor, House Molder finds itself in the precarious situation of being in service to House Lannister now that Cersei reigns as Queen and House Arryn forming an alliance with the newly crowned King of the North Jon Snow (in combination with the shocking revelation that Sansa Stark has emerged, whom Lord Michael presumed dead) ralling the Northern houses to his cause. Unsettled by the prospect of being dragged into a disastrous war that could wipe out his entire family, all seems lost to Lord Michael until one fateful day his now adult son Arryk returns from across the Narrow Sea, having spent several years there as a sellsword. Returning with more than a warrior's cunning, Arryk offers his father a proposal from Essos; the chance to pledge their house to a true ruler of the people who can end the Game of Thrones once and for all; The Mother of Dragons. It is his son's conviction that wins over Lord Michael, who for the first time in a long time, experiences hope.

Household

Lord Michael Molder, Lord of Flanders' Keep

Lord Michael Molder reigns as Lord of Flanders' Keep, a modest but dignified hold in the Vale near the base of the mountains. Lord Michael serves as the Master of Coin's Envoy to the Vale; though no current Master of Coin exists, Hand of the Queen Qyburn quickly sent ravens with ultimatums to all officers of the vacant Master Offices; Arrive in King's Landing within the fortnight and bend the knee to Queen Cersei or be labelled traitors to the Crown. Similar missives are sent by Lord Baelish of the Vale, demanding all Vale Lords send any men they have to the Stark cause. Lord Michael, weary of the destruction brought about by the Game of Thrones, prepares his household for what he hopes to be its last war, in service to House Targaryen and Queen Dannerys and her Dragons.

Lady Kara Molder (Hudson)

Wife of Lord Michael Molder, originally from the Riverlands as the daughter of Sellsword Robert Hudson. Charismatic and outspoken, Lady Kara also maintains a devout following to the Faith of the Seven, even converting her Northern husband to it (though the irreligious Lord Michael needed little convincing). Lady Kara came to be one of the strongest factors in convincing her husband to support House Targaryen, having been moved of the recounts of Daenerys Targaryen in the letters sent to her by her son Arryk from Essos.

Arryk Molder, Castellan and Heir to Flanders' Keep

Arryk Molder is the only son and heir to Lord Michael Molder. After fleeing with his family to the Vale, Arryk became determined to serve the Faith of the Seven having found new conviction in his religion. Forbidding his only heir from becoming a Septon, Arryk took the next best step he could and signed on with the Swords of the Seven: A sellsword company that offered their protection to Septons and Septas on missions to convert unbelievers, though the Faith of the Seven was only able to afford very few and thus mainly used them to protect higher ranking Septons and Septas. Under the Swords of the Seven, Arryk sailed across the Narrow Sea to Essos, where he guarded Septons against slavers, Dothraki, and heretics unwelcoming to the Faith. During his time in Essos, Arryk came to hear the stories of Daenerys Targaryen and her success in freeing the slaves of Meereen and her commanding of Three Dragons. As his contract was set to expire soon with the Swords of the Seven, Arryk was approached by a little bird who carried an offer from a spider; to convince his house to support the fabled Mother of Dragons. It was a offer that Arryk gladly accepted and took to his father in the Vale.

Name: House Evergale
Sigil: White griffin segreant on a midnight blue field
Motto: Weathering the Storm
Unofficial Motto: Calm before the Storm
Seat: Thundering Gate (formerly Ramsgate)
House Weapon: Tempest (Valyrian great sword)
Region: The North
Allegiance: House Manderly, House Stark
Lord: Ragnar Evergale (husband, father)
Heir: Veyron Evergale (firstborn)

Family:

  • Lady Katrana Evergale, nee Faelys (wife, mother)
  • Rodwyn Evergale (second, son)
  • Kendra Evergale (third, daughter)
  • Darion Evergale (fourth, son)
  • Serena Evergale (fifth, daughter)
  • Raynos Evergale (sixth, son)
  • Nymeria Evergale (seventh, daughter)

Founder: Meynor the Evergale, a hedge knight
Blood: First Men, Lyseni
Faith: Old Gods, mainly

Military strength:

  • Foot: 1600
  • Cavalry: 900
  • Archers: 700
  • Ships: 50

Origins:

House Evergale descended from the a noble First Men house that fought for dominance in the Stormlands. The house was defeated but survivors of the branch family, led by the hedge knight Meynor the Evergale, escaped to the reach and worked under House Manderly.

Meynor, a devout follower of the Old Gods, reluctantly followed the Manderlys, who are followers of the Seven. Eventually, he just accepted the opportunity before him due to the urgent nature of their situation.

The branch family, wanting nothing but survival and peace, did not bother reviving the name of their house out of embarrassment and to avoid suspicions of political activity.

Only a year after settling in the Reach, the Manderlys were kicked out of the Reach and, of course, the Evergale ancestors had to go with them as the they migrate to the North, under Meynor's suggestion. Meynor knew the North will need the Manderly's economic expertise and he himself wanted to be in a society that majorly follows the ways of the First Men.

Ragnar Evergale was a northern cavalryman under Rickard Stark in the War of the Ninepenny Kings. As a reward, Lord Stark ordered Manderly to give Ragnar a piece of land near Ramsgate, extending their territory, and the ship Windwalk to travel to all over Essos, for Ragnar was fond of traveling. Their lands are left under the care of Ragnar's younger brother and sister, Elgar and Dorella.

In Braavos, Ragnar met Katrana, a rising trader of the exiled House Faelys of Lys, and worked for her as a bodyguard. After Ragnar saves Katrana from multiple assassination attempts Lyseni nobles, she taught her the ways of trade, business, economics, and finance. Katrana gave Ragnar the Valyrian greatsword, Tempest, as a gift. The two eventually fell in love and conceived a child. Months after, a major assassination attempt from Lys forced Ragnar to ship away Katrana and her small trading guild back to the North. Katrana took all her possessions, her money, all her relatives, and her goods aboard three large Braavosi ships led by Windwalk.

When they returned, Ragnar requested House Manderly to take care of Katrana, her people, and her goods until the Lyseni lose them. The Manderlys were so amazed by Katrana's guild that Lord Manderly rewarded Ragnar lordship over Ramsgate and all the lands under it. The Starks allowed this and Katrana's wishes to make their own trade laws in exchange for extra tax.

Ramsgate was renamed the Thundering Gate. Ragnar eventually married Katrana in a ceremony of the Old Gods. They bore a child named Veyron, heir to the Thundering Gate, and six more children of First Men and Lysene blood.

A trading settlement called Windy Coast was born around the Thundering Gate and along its coasts. Northwind improved trade between the North and the Free Cities (particularly Braavos, Myr, and Pentos), making the Manderlys (taxes for economic assistance) and the Starks (taxes for cheaper military assistance) richer. Things not traded in White Harbor are traded in Windy Coast because the latter resembles a grey market. Trade laws in White Harbor are few but very, very strict.

When the Starks were betrayed, the Evergales remained loyal to the Manderlys and their cause of restoring the Stark's rule in Winterfell and the North.

Current happenings:

Lady Katrana is in Oldtown, negotiating with the Maesters to build a 'Second Citadel' in the North.
Lord Ragnar is resisting Bolton raids north of Thundering Gate.
Veyron is running Thundering Gate, planning the future of Thundering Gate and Windy Coast as a 'world city'.
Rodwyn is in Braavos, studying modern military technology and tactics
Kendra is running Windy Coast.

They managed to defeat the Lannister army but with many casulties. Lord Rohedrous Stormhorse & his remaining 70,000 banner men retreated back to Winterfell to warn Robb of Ned's death. From that time & on, House Stormhorse fought side by side with House Stark, defeating every Lannister army they came in contact with. Before Walder Frey's betrayal, Lord Leothar Stormhorse warned King Robb of their double cross & insisted to accompany him, armed & ready. Robb did not heed my words, telling me there is nothing to worry about but thanks him for his loyalty. During the massacre, Lord Leothar Stormhorse & his men managed to fight off many Bolton & Frey traitors. They met with the Forresters who were also fighting for their lives. They returned to their Citadel with some loyalist Northerner/Tully survivors. The Blackfish aka Brynden Tully said he must take back Riverrun for now it is in the hands of the Lannisters & Freys. Lord Leothar Stormhorse promises the Blackfish, he will defend the North from the Boltons until a Stark can rule Winterfell once again. Until now, they remained ever loyal to the Starks. Jon Snow recently was made King in the North after Ramsay Bolton's defeat. House Stormhorse will once again call their banners to gather & fight for the Starks. Whatever invades Westeros from beyond the wall(Not Wildlings but White Walkers), House Stormhorse will help. If Daenarys Targaryen agrees to help the North & House Stormhorse to stop the Cersei & the White Walkers, peace will finally be brought to Westeros. Even Tyrion will join on the side for the living as well as House Martell, House Tyrell, & House Greyjoy. But if negotiations fail, Westeros will surely be consumed by the Night King & his undead horde of White Walkers.....

Current Events: Jon Snow has been made King in the North & Lord Rohedrous Stormhorse has summoned his entire host of bannermen to help in the wars to come.

Lady Silvelina Stormhorse remains by Lord Leothar Stormhorse's side as an equal in love & war. They currently reside in their Citadel planning their next move to defend the Starks from whatever enemy may rise to make another attempt on their lives.

Commander Aelrindel Stormhorse remains in Dragon Wood Citadel with Lord Leothar and Lady Silvelina Stormhorse

Azerina Stormhorse, eldest daughter of Leothar & Silvelina remains in Dragon Wood Citadel

Geldrion Stormhorse, eldest son of Leothar & Silvelina remains with his mother & father in Dragon Wood Citadel

Sir Galadon Stormhorse defends Dragon Wood Castle from Lannister besiegers

Sir Gildon Stormhorse resides in Winterfell along with Jon Snow & his remaining forces

Sir Cedric Stormhorse and 54,000 men have been sent to occupy Riverrun from the Lannisters & Freys. With the help of the remaining Tully forces led by Edmure Tully, they will succeed. Riverrun shall be Edmure's once more when Riverrun is captured.

Sir Odinel Stormhorse is currently in charge of building  Griffinwind Harbor far West in the North

Captain Elvira Stormhorse & 40 ships sails the War Avenger near the Iron Islands to ensure no raids are occuring from any Iron born raiders

Maester Arxon(Who is a Mage as well as a Healer & councilman to Rohedrous Stormhorse) sailing with a peace delegation on a ship to negotiate with Daenarys Targaryen about an alliance against Cersei Lannister & The White Walkers

Septon Olrius is taking care of the two children of House Stormhorse

Septon Galanthor has rode off with 14 of House Stormhorse's finest to find Asher Forrester & any other Forrester survivors ever since the Whitehills & Boltons invaded Ironwrath. He is to bring them to Dragon Wood Citadel where it is safe.

Scouts have rode far North to check for White Walkers

House: House Palantir

Founder: Ser Wigand Palantir

House Words:

Sigil: A black dragon, on a white background

Castle:

Sword: Valyrian longsword called Mercy

Location: Crownlands

Sworn to: Dragonstone

Current Lord: Eldrich Palantir

His Family: Alfric Waters, his Steward and bastard oldest son

Alfred Waters, Alfric's bastard son, blacksmith

Ser Oswald Whitewater, Alfric's trueborn son, a squire to Ser Edmmund

(Ser Edward Palantir), Eldrich's first son, died in a hunting accident

Elfwine Palantir, Edward's son, a boy of two

Ser Edmmund Palantir Eldrich's second son

Lady Eowyn Banning, Edmummds wife, currentlly with child

Athelred, Eldrich's third son, currently at the Citadel

Edith, Eldrich's daughter a maid of fifteen.

Ser Athelstan Palantir, a cousin.

Backstory: The family is said to decend from a humble sellsword of Lynesi origin in the Bleeding Years, after the Doom of Valyria. Wigand Palantir was a rebel who fought against Volantis, and who managed to overpower and kill a triach who wielded a Valyrian longsword after he was distracted by Aegon on Balerion destroying his fleet. Wigand then made his way to Dragonstone, where he took a local woman to wife and swore fealty to Aegon. Aegon knighted him in return, and Wigand served as chief amongst Aegon's guard throughout most of the conquest. Upon hearing of Visenya's plan to create a Kingsgard, he strode to the king, and demanded the first of the white cloaks. Surprisingly, Visenya agreed, asking only for a week to create a cloak and arms for the position. The following week, Visenya had her son and nephew, both acting as squires, garb Wigand in the armour and cloak of a Kingsgard. Once this was done, she declared that he should take the oath to his king... but only after using his new white sword to kill his wife, daughter and young son. Wigand refused, but understood that the Kingsgard was something new and different. He was allowed to retire to his lands given to him in grattitude after the conquest.

House Palantir has risen, slowly but steadily over the years, from a minor landed knight sworn to Duskendale to a Lordship in thier own right. This is due in no minor part to a steady loyalty to House Targaryen and an ability to play thier enemies against one another. During the Dance, they managed to declare a effective neutrality, by demuring on swearing alliegance to either claimant.

Ser Edmmund Palantir was Lord Commander of the Kingsgard under Maekar I. After his death during the Storming of Starpike, Edmmund, although badly wounded, was able to persuade many of the Peake men at arms to surrender, telling them that any who did so would be given mercy. After many did so, he executed them all with the family longsword, 'Mercy', before dying of his wounds.

Current Events

Eldrich Palantir made his name in the Defiance of Duskendale, serving as capable commander of men. However, he was mistrusted by both Aerys, who saw him as Tywin's creature, and Tywin, who distrusted his family's long loyalty to the Targaryens. He was remembered by Rhaegar during the Rebellion, however, and marched with all his strength to the battle of the Trident. After Rheagar fell, he was able to rally part of the royal army and take them into the woods, only to be yield to Robert a few days later after news of the Sack.

Grown old, Eldrich hasn't declared for anyone in the war of 5 kings, although some shipments of food have made thier way to King's Landing, and his cousin Athelstan has a small troop of men in support of Stannis, under the banners of House Velaryon. With his immediate heir dead, his grandson Elfwine is his heir, although there is some intense discussion over who comes after. His next trueborn son is set to inherit the lordship of Banning, so some suggest that his youngest son should be recalled from the Citadel. Others suggest that his steward and bastard son Alfric Waters should be legitamized as a heir. For thier part, Alfric and Edmmund have taken over the day to day running of the castle, and refuse any suggestion that Elfwine will not inherit, grow old and have children of his own.

House: House Bloodwyck
Founder: King Edwyn Bloodwyck
Sigil: A white ram skull on a black shield with red background.
Motto: "Day or night, we are ready"
Unofficial Motto: None
Castle Name: Ramsbrook Hold, which is located on a cliff overlooking Blazewater Bay. It looks kind of like this:
https://cdnb.artstation.com/p/assets/images/images/000/960/341/large/milosz-wojtasik-castle-v3-small.jpg?1437035691
Religion: We mainly worship The Old Gods though some of us worship The Drowned God.
Blood: Descendants of the first men (Some of our ancestors were ironborn who settled down on Cape Kraken).
Location: Northernmost point of Cape Kraken (The North)
House Weapon(s): A two-handed black Greatsword, made of dragonstone called "Steelbreaker". The sword has a pointy tip on either side of the blade and bellow that the blade are unsharpened and the pommel have a small ram head on it. If the wielder can strike hard enough it is very likely that he can destroy an enemy's sword.
Sworn to: House Stark
Back Story: House Bloodwyck is an ancient house that was founded around 7,000 years ago during The Age of Heroes. We ruled as kings over what is now called Cape Kraken and other areas west of The Neck for almost a thousand years before being forced to swear fealty to House Stark.
It is said that Edwyn Bloodwyck once travelled to The Old Ghiscari Empire and sold himself as a slave, started fighting in the fighting pits of Ghis. Edwyn was a very large and strong man. He was armed with an axe and two small daggers. His first fight was against 9 other champions but Edwyn was the largest and strongest of them all. Edwyn slowly took them down one by one and sliced of limb after limb and every time Edwyn were in the fighting pit it ended the same, with Edwyn as the victorious. For 2 years Edwyn fought in the pits of Ghis and the fights turned from actual fights to more of a demonstration of torture, cause Edwyn liked to take his time with his opponents. During his time in Ghis, Edwyn took many trophies including a Greatsword made of dragonstone witch he named "Steelbreaker". Edwyn murdered his master and stole his money and then sailed back to Westeros and started the construction of Ramsbrook Hold and later crowned himself king over Cape Kraken. For hundreds of years Bloodwyck territory expanded and for a while House Bloodwyck were probably one of the largest houses in the North.
Throughout the history Cape Kraken have suffered from several raids from the Ironborn in the past and under the leadership of King Qhored Hoare they conquered all of the western coasts including Cape Kraken and when the Ironborn came House Bloodwyck could only raise an army of around 50 men to defend themselves. The lord of Ramsbrook Hold, Lord Karold Bloodwyck got trapped in his own castle along with his family and servants, they sent a raven to Winterfell in hope of help but the Starks didn't come. They sent a raven to Greywater Watch but the Reeds didn't come. It was not until they sent a raven to Barrowton that help came. And with the combined forces of House Dustin, their vassal House Stout and the remaining Bloodwycks they managed to fend of the Ironborn. Since then, the Ironborn raids have decreased greatly. House Bloodwycks territory have since then decreased and now, we own only Ramsbrook Hold and small nearby Villages.
House Bloodwyck supported House Bolton in their second rebellion against House Stark, but the Starks put the rebellion down and after that the title of Lord of Ramsbrook Hold was downgraded to Knight of Ramsbrook Hold and House Bloodwyck is now a knightly house.
When Aegon Targaryen came and began his conquest of Westeros house Bloodwyck went pretty much unoticed and could continue to grow stronger in peace.
During The War of the Five Kings House Bloodwyck supported House Stark and Martyn Bloodwyck brought 150 men and meet up with Robb Stark's army on The Kingsroad. During the Red Wedding Martyn got his throat slit by a Frey soldier and two of his sons got shot down by crossbows. And after finding out that House Bolton was behind it all, House Bloodwyck have in secret worked to remove the Boltons from power.
House Bloodwyck is known for their fishing and production of sheepmeat, they also are known for their great warriors. During times of war House Bloodwyck is said to be able to raise an army of around 300 men.

Name: House Freeland

Sigil: A howling white wolf cub and a blue-green mermaid with a burning sword looking at the moon, on a field of almost-black-purple.

Motto: The Moon is Our Mother

Unofficial Motto: But we are not men.

Location: Skane.

House Sword: Dark Sister, and we have the other 200+ valyrian steel swords everyone wonders about!

Other Resources: 9 ships (only 1 is large), 285 warriors (38 mounted on unicorns, 13 mounted on dolphins) and some badass powerful magic.

Our Story: House Freeland was born ten thousand years (ago/before the HBO show), after the last long night of the white walkers and the pact with the Children. We accept all kinds, but we only have a Lady, never a lord.

A troupe of warrior women, some are Stark, some from Lann's family, some Greys and others from other great houses and common families over the years, of many faiths. The first of our order saw what the world could be and how easily magic could be lost. We resolved to build a safe haven, known to no one but ourselves, in which to protect all manner of objects and knowledge to defeat the WW upon their inevitable return. Some of the Children remained with us as well.

The first of our house decided it would also be a place to run to for those abused, broken, cast out and persecuted by the realms of men. Our numbers are maintained by liberating such people, mostly women, though a few children are even born here each generation.

Those who leave know all too well how important it is to keep our secret. That's why you've never heard of us. The terror of nearby Skagos, who don't know about us either, helps with that too. We also have a small outpost in Slavers Bay/ the Bay of Dragons, from which we smuggle runaway slaves and innocent fugitives.

(This is an edited version, so please tell me what people think!)

House Name: Montessor

Sigil: Originally, two blue spears clashing against each other, but it was changed to that of a dark purple background with a black tiger rearing up and roaring

Motto: Cut off the king's head, and the body falls

Unofficial motto: Strength, Blood, and Death

Religion: None. Why should they rely on Gods and faith, and unanswered prayers?

Castle: Whitehaven Stronghold

Ancestry: First Men and Valaryian descent

Genetics: Deep, dark brown hair with a hint of auburn hair, and haunting misty blue eyes. It is rare for them to have the classical Valaryian look of silver blonde hair and violet eyes, though due to mixed genetics, whoever inherits blonde hair, it is several shades darker due to the auburn genetic. The blue eye color is also dominant over the violet trait. While not as tall as someone such as The Mountain, most Montessors grow to be over six feet high, some rarely making it to seven. They are also described as having harsh and sharp features

Location: The Vale

Ancestral weapon: A large battleaxe named Shadow's Bane, made from an unknown source material. It was eventually lost during the Dance of the Dragons

Sworn to: House Targaryen (Prior to Robert's Rebellion), House Baratheon (Formerly, only breaking away after the Greyjoy Rebellion)

History: A few years before the Doom of Valaryia, and before House Velaryon left to Driftmark, a daughter named Alyhra from House Velaryon departed from Valaryia and settled into Westeros. There, she met a man who was known as Lucian Montessor, whose family was directly descended from that of the First Men, whom she would eventually marry into. Her husband-to-be was also known as "Lucian the Lame", due to the fact that he had a twisted leg from a horse riding accident as a child, which rendered his ability to ever fight, and his incapability to keep everyone under his house satisfied. Lucian, having eventually met Alyhra during one of his travels, was captivated by her, by both her beauty and personality. Seeing as he had not taken a wife, as his mother died in childbirth, and his father died of unknown illness when he was a young child, he fell in love with Alyhra and made her his wife, and they could finally continue the Montessor line

It was during Aegon's Conquest that House Montessor was the first to bend the knee to the dragons, as the current Lord, Alrik Montessor, otherwise known as the "Cub Lord" (Due to the fact he became Lord at age 8), was aware of his Velaryon acestors' association with House Targaryen, and the fact that he was also awed by and feared the dragons. For his willingness, the little Lord was presented with a great battleaxe, which was called Shadow's Bane.

During the Dance of the Dragons, the current and only known matriarch of the Montessors, lady Tiphina, had lost Shadow's Bane during the Assault on Harrenhal. To make matters worse, her three sons were killed during the Fall of King's Landing, leaving the house with no heirs, and causing the old and weary woman to slip into an unbridled madness. It was only after her grandnephew, Tarik, who had returned from Essos after serving in the Second Sons for many years, put her out of her misery. Upon his descent as Lord of House Montessor, he changed the sigil from two spears, to that of a roaring tiger

Prior to Robert's Rebellion, the Montessors had begun to doubt the Targaryens, as Aerys had slowly beginning to fall into madness after the destruction of Summerhal and the incident at Duskendale. The straw that finally broke the camel's back was when Aerys had their current Lord, Korvyn, executed for being accused of conspiracy against the king. His eldest son and heir, Lucian, had finally rallied his men to aid Robert Baratheon in finally overthrowing the Targaryen dynasty, and swearing fealty once Robert was crowned king

However, six years later, when the Ironborne rebelled against the crown, Lucian's younger brother, Borius, was killed under the orders of Balon Greyjoy when the Ironborne took him prisoner, and a makeshift head of a tiger was sewn onto his headless corpse, as a final mockery to their house. Angered by this fact, and the fact that he was robbed of avenging his younger brother, Lucian eventually had House Montessor break faith with House Baratheon because of this, and that Robert was ineffective to be king, the Montessors eventually left to live out in the Vale for the rest of their days

They did not choose a side when the War of the Five Kings rolled around, as Lucian had his fair share of wars and conflicts. But when he heard of the news of what the Freys and Boltons had done with conspiring with the Lannisters and murdering Robb Stark and his bannerman at the Red Wedding, Lucian was enraged and disgusted by this, and was urged by Lord Petyr Baelish after Jon Snow returned to rally with the Knights of the Vale, and assist in taking back Winterfell from the Boltons

House: House Morrow

Sigil: An albino lion on a crimson field

Motto: Our blood shall rise

Unofficial Motto: A job is never truly complete until you do it yourself.

Keep: Morlingheart and the City of Morlingtown

Religion: Faith of the Seven

Blood: Andal (Lannister-Oakheart-Mayfield descent)

Genetics: Curly Blonde hair and green-brown eyes, occasional albinism shows up through the generations (reflected in the house sigil)

Location: Directly on the Goldroad, South of Sarsfield.

Ancestral Weapon(s): Bloodroar- The blade, Bloodroar, is the ancestral weapon of the house. Said to be forged from an unknown metal from  undiscovered lands to the west, the blade's edge is said to never dull and the sword is said to never rust. The sword's pommel is carved into the shape of a white lion's head. The sword is passed from lord to heir at the time of the lord's death.

Sworn to: House Lannister

Cadet Branch(es): House Morrigan

Vassal House(s): House Morrigan and House Karn

Backstory: House Morrow is descended from the Lannister kings of the Rock, specifically Lancel I Lannister. During his conquest of The Reach, Lancel fathered a bastard to a member of House Oakheart. The Oakheart girl died in childbirth giving birth to an albino son, Tyrion Flowers. The Oakhearts believed the child to be cursed and sent him to his father at Casterly Rock. Lancel pitied the boy and brought him into his household.  The child grew up alongside Lancel's trueborn son Lareon.

Tyrion married Lyanna Mayfield of Morlingheart, the last surviving member of her House after a greyscale epidemic in her home wiped out her family (Lyanna avoided the illness as she was working as a hand maid for a member of House Swyft). Tyrion inherited the Mayfield's lands. Lyanna and Tyrion had a son, Arthur Flowers (Arthur later changed his name to Arthur Morrow to show he wasn't a bastard. The reason for this name is unknown but it is supposedly to do with a phrase Tyrion Flowers used to say).

Morlingheart was burned down to prevent the greyscale epidemic spreading, so the newly formed House Morrow rebuilt the keep twice as large, reopened the iron mines within the mountains and funded the building of inns and a small market to attract small folk to the area. The plan worked and the city of Morlingtown grew around the keep. This helped the Morrows become one of the richest houses in the Westerlands. Many Morrow girls have been taken as wives for Lannister Lords (and vice versa).

During Aegon's conquest, the Morrows stood by their liege lord in the Field of Fire however their men were mostly spared due to 3/4 of their men being sent to be a garrison for the nearby keeps. Ser Jaime Morrow, Loren Lannister's advisor for war, bent the knee beside his king. The Morrows consistently sided with the Lannisters during all major wars, fighting for the greens in the Dance of Dragons, helping put down the Reyne-Tarbeck Rebellion, partaking in the Sack of King's Landing and gave men to Tywin Lannister's host during the War of the Five Kings.

Very nice :3
