Little Finger's Death.

This issue is being made much too complicated. Sansa doesn't need to outsmart Littlefinger or become more devious than him. She simply has to poison his wine using the crystallized Strangler in her hairnet (yeah, I'm sure that was kept in the story for no reason). I think this is a done deal and this will occur in the next book.

No-one can serve two masters.

Yes, actually one can. The world is not black and white. You can play the game for good reasons or bad reasons, but if you don't know how to play, you're not going to win. Actually, you're probably going to die, and what good to the world and your family are you then?

I absolutely do not see Sansa out smarting him and bringing him down that way, LF is just way too good for that imo. I guess she could just kill him, but that seems a little out of her character as well. I think she will learn plenty from him, and use that in the future. Honestly though I feel like GRRM is setting it up so Sansa brings him down, which I don't like.

I feel like Varys should be the one to take him down, or at least attempt to. Those two have to have a showdown like an above poster said.

Right. All men must die. And yet everyone keeps citing Ned's death as proof that he is an idiot and a failure.

Meanwhile, is there not an APOCALYPTIC feel to the series? Dragons, Krakens and Ice Demons are waiting to pounce. Fire and Ice are on the verge of destroying the world, and you all talk about Littlefinger and his petty selfish schemes as though they were worth a damn. To quote Little Shop of Horrors again:

Hold your hat and hang on to your soul

Something's coming to eat the world whole.

Well LF seems to be infatuated with Sansa, so that could be a major weakness for him. And I doubt he suspects her to grow a spine considering how pathetic she's been so far.

Honestly, I think that Sansa could possibly beat him at his own game. She is standing by and watching him in action, while he is clearly beginning to open up to her about some of his plans. You can tell that he is trying to groom within her some trust. Sure, he would like for her to trust him, but he also wants to play on her innocence and have her as a confidant...possibly. You know that man has so much going on in his head that he would have to desire to have someone loyal as a sounding board! I think she grows, develops, and matures while playing poor little Sansa the innocent all along the way. She will play the Game of Thrones and she will come out a victor because she will beat him at his own game. Hopefully she can do this without dirtying her hands. We all know that Starks only play the game honorably. ;)

I think Sansa is doing a good job of developing as a character without Littlefinger dying. Shes learning his trade, mastering his craft, and will have the added advantage of being a beautiful young woman.

If Littlefinger does die, and Sansa has a role in his death, I believe it will be out of luck, or a crazy chance, not anything intentional on her part. She's too shocked by death, and far too emotionally weak still for her to committ to murdering anyone.

I can foresee Littlefinger taking his seat at Harrenhal and living a nice and comfortable life.......

.........until Eddard Stark returns as his personal poltergeist and starts to cause general mischief and being something of a nuisance, mucking up all of his accounts, shaving his goatee while he sleeps, screaming ominously from the dark and gloomy rafters of his feasting hall as Littlefinger entertains important guests, "OooooEeeeeOoooooAaaaaEeeeeBoooGiiiDeeeeDoooooDaaaaahNiippliiiWeeeeeeAaaaarghh!!!!" and "Boooo! Down with this man and his nefarious schemes! He owns brothels don't cher know!!! And he molests children!! Booooo!!!!", Eddard Stark would shout, frightening and mildly disturbing the guests who will then leave Harrenhal only to see the gardeners being devoured by carnivorous compost heaps, Gorillas with the sexual appetites of rabbits on viagra will inexpilcably appear out of nowhere and will proceed to glower suspiciously at the noble guests as they attempt to surruptitiously sidle out of the castle whilst avoiding as many indescribable horrors and monstrosities as humanly possible.......

............and they will form a very bad impression of Littlefinger as a result!

I'm all ready on the record as predicting that Littlefinger will be beheaded by Ser Lyn Corbray with his valyrian sword Lady Forlorn. The mountian clans might also insist on his manhood being cut off and fed to the goats if has besmirched Lady Sansa.

to bad he doesn't have one(beard)

I'd rather he survives the books, but if he has to die, it should be by Sansa poisoning him. The whole "Sansa learns from him and beats him at his own game" plot many have in mind feels kind of unfeasible in the time of the story that remains, kind of like Arya's Faceless Man training.

I think it's a given that Sansa will kill Littlefinger, and in an active way too:

"I dreamt a wolf howling in the rain, but no one heard his grief," the dwarf woman was saying. "I dreamt such a clangor I thought my head might burst, drums and horns and pipes and screams, but the saddest sound was the little bells. I dreamt of a maid at a feast, with purple serpents in her hair, venom dripping from their fangs. And later I dreamt that maid again, slaying a savage giant in a castle built of snow." She turned her head sharply and smiled through the gloom, right at Arya. "You cannot hide from me, child. Come closer, now.

This is one of the prophecies of the Ghost of High Heart. All her Prophecies were/are pretty accurate so far, especially thinking about the one concerning UnCat. The maid at a feast, with purple serpents in her hair is Sansa with her hairnet at the wedding.

The same maid is also going to slay a giant in a castle built of snow. I think the giant is meant to be Littlefinger, because of all the reasons he is the looming giant in Brans dream about his sisters. The castle built of snow would be Winterfell, so I guess this will only happen after Sansa has gotten Winterfell or they are both invited there by Rickon.

The prophecy could simply describe the scene of Sansa ripping Sweetrobin’s doll apart after destroying her Winterfell-snowman, but that wouldn't really fit in with the rest of the ghost’s prophecies, so I'm looking forward to Littlefinger getting his ass kicked by Sansa.

P.S.: kind of awkward finally writing a comment on this forum ^_^

As Scorpion Knight says below you, She's been watching and learning, her first lesson from LF was if you know what a man wants you know how to get them to do what you want them to do, second lesson she learns from LF keep your hands clean, she also learned from Cersei, Margery, QOT and Tyrion along from her parents.

Let's go over that emotionally weak part again shell we:

her father is declared a traitor she braves the snears and abandonment of the people in the capital to plead for her father's life, defiantly tells joffery she hates him, defiantly looks at her father, septa and members of their retinue heads on spikes and verbally tells joffery that she hopes Robb gives her his head instead, thinks of pushing joff over the wall with herself clinging to him on the way down only stopped due to the Hound's intervention, takes the blows from Trant and Blount, defends Dontos preventing Joffery from killing him, during the battle of Blackwater while the Queen Regent flees the hold fast Sansa alone kept the calm with the guest while knowing the kings justice is near to take heads, braves trips to the Godswood in KL to meet with a stranger, she didn't know it could of been a trap and she did this 2 or 3 times and she brought a knife to either protect herself or kill herself if need be, remembers to pack the hairnet in her clothing despite being told to bring nothing, not only is she brave but she can think under pressure.

And she does all this while keeping courtesies and compassion for others, emotionally weak? NO!, stupid? NO!, naive? YES but not any longer .

ETA: I forgot the biggest FU she gave to house Lannister, in front of many, refusing to bow down and take the Lannister cloak forcing Tyrion to stand on a fool to reach her, yup nothing more in your face Joffery,Tywin or Cersei then a nice silent FU with lemon cakes.

What do we say to the God of Death?

Not today.

Petyr will teach Sansa how to survive and she is not so thankless as to voluntarily kill him.
