Dark Rider
In terms of one on one slogging through the mud who would you fear most to come up against in battle?Pick any character from A Song of Ice and Fire. You're free to pick someone at an age that would put them in their prime.Westeros has some great warriors, but who do you think is going to bring the most pain?I'm going to say Robert with his War Hammer in his prime around the Battle of the Trident was pretty fierce.NOT military leadership. Just pure fighting ability is the basis here. Not tournament crap, but actual battle where you'd have him and all the other chaos around you. assjfjgjsgjljljglgjfjsduar
Like a leader (like whose army you wouldn't want to meet) or an individual fighter (guy you wouldn't want to face one-on-one)? I'd hate to meet an army of Robb's. I'd hate to meet Arthur Dayne in single combat.
Lady Octarina
On battle? Gregor Clegane, obviously. :ack:Now, if we were talking about commanders, I'd say both Tywin and Stannis would be worst enemies one could have.

The Last Direwolf
Individual fighter would probably be Robert in his prime or Ser Arthur Dayne. The battle commander I wouldn't like to meet would be Aegon the Conqueror and his dragons! Out of the commanders of ASOIAF, probably Robb Stark as he never lost a battle whereas most of the other generals have.
clover
I imagine Robert running and yelling like a mad man toward someone with a war hammer, and they probaably saw several people go down before that. Had to be intimidating before he even reached them.I always saw him as a noble and trained like many others, but probably more aggressive and wild like a Dothraki or something.Totally scary and fierce. clover
Oh, and Gregor. The vision of him standing that tall in armor and with his reputation. Scar-y.
Lady Kraken
Strong Belwas.Edit: Unless you meant just Westeros, then I'd go with the Mountain that Rides.
Ser Hippie
An Other, unless I had some dragonglass or Valyrian steel handy. Of the humans, probably Gregor Clegane.
I am Darkstar
Victarian Greyjoy without a doubt. He can single-handedly pick you up and crush you.Edit- With his left hand.
Warhammer
Any of the great warriors would be fine, I prefer a quick death.I would be more worried about being hamstrung by a no name squire and left to suffer.Thoros for me if I had to pick I don't want to be sliced up and BBQ. Dark Rider
Yeah, Gregor Clegane is pretty tough, but I think I could use his size against him. I think Robert had that combination of size, speed, intelligence, and just natural aggression on the battle field to be a tougher fight.
Dark Rider
Victarian Greyjoy without a doubt. He can single-handedly pick you up and crush you.Edit- With his left hand.No doubt he's the Navy SEAL of Westeros. Meeting him on a Ship in battle at sea would be one tough fight, but I don't know if he's going to be the best on land.
clover
Victarian Greyjoy without a doubt. Quote by I Am DarkstarYup. Forgot about him. Just read his POV in AFFC. jarl the climber
Khal Drogo died undefeated, probaly not somebody you want to see in front of you in a battle.
Artos Stark
I would say either Gregor or Jaime. Maybe Robb because Grey Wind runs with him and would tear you apart. Why Strong Belwas? The Mountain would cut him near in half with one swing of his sword.
Dark Rider
How about Ned Stark? We never got a chance to really see Ned in Battle, but we know he's taken down some Kings Guard back when they were more than just whichever lord they could find to hold a sword.
