Aegnor
So I was reading an article from Forbes magazine about GoT, which was otherwise a good article, but it used the following sentence "Not half bad for a show about dwarves and dragons, the sort of thing once reviled by mainstream audiences."I've seen the word dwarves referenced in this fashion in quite a few places in the media and it bugs me. It is completely misleading, as it indicates dwarves like in classic fantasy (LotR, etc). In other words, a magical, or otherwise non-human creature. That is obviously not the case at all and I think it does a great disservice to the character of Tyrion and the overall story.
Brienne the Beauty
Yes, a lot of media don't really seem to understand that Tyrion is a human being, probably because the only other fantasy they've ever seen is Lord of the Rings. It's actually pretty insulting to people of restricted growth, if you think about it.

koudoulis
maybe he meant it ironically, like making fun of maintream audiences.. or stupid studios catering to supposed mainstream audiences preferences...
