How does Tommen die?

I could easily see Cersei killing him if he continues to defy her and side with/care for Margaery. She seems quite capable of severing emotional attachments and wishing/bringing death on anyone that crosses her.

I don't see any logic to Margaery or the Tyrells killing him, since that would extinguish their claim to power. I suppose they could secretly try to off him and marry Margaery off to Aegon, but my impression was they only killed off Joffrey after they realized what a psychopath he was.

1. The Tyrells kill him in revenge when Margaery is executed.

2. UnGregor accidentally kills him (think of the stable boy when Gregor and Oberyn fought) during Cersei's trial.

3. Cersei herself kills him in a moment of supreme mental instability.

Either....

a) the Tyrells murder him if they make a coup for power following the aftermath of Kevan's assassination.

b ) One of his kittens mauls him to death. Oh, how I would laugh!

c) The Faith somehow decides he is not suitable and kills him.

There are too of them now... :stunned:

Do we know to what "limit" that rule is enforced? I mean, she "knows him" in that she's probably laid eyes on him before. I don't think they've really interacted.

Besides, she'd probably lie either way. I bet she'd jump at the chance to wreak vengeance on the Lannisters with her new FM abilities.

Such rule is not enforced. But there is an option for a FM himself to refuse to kill anyone he knows. There ws converstion in ADwD Arya overheard, in which one of the FM said "I will not give him the gift, I know this man". Jaqen, too, killed Chyswik, Weese. So it definitely isn't the part of the code.

In his bed, at the age of eighty, with a bellyful of cakes and Sir Pounce in his arms.

I never want to see a 72 year old cat. Ever.

But yah, in my head the Tyrells take pity on him and bring him back to Highgarden to breed cats with Willas, learn fighting from Loras, and cuddle with Margaery until he's old enough to consummate the damn thing and take his rightful place as Lord of the Rock.

It's not going to happen, but it sure would be a twist for one of the kids in ASOIAF to grow up normally.

Arianne will arrange a marriage between Aegon and Myrcella, thereby turning Cersei's children against each other. As the Tyrells are annihilated by the Golden Company, the Faith, and Euron (they'll probably defeat the Faith, but it will deprive them of troops in the field against Aegon at a critical hour), Cersei will see Myrcella's queenship as imminent and-in her most insane move yet-set KL ablaze with wildfire and kill Tommen.

The Lannister-Tyrell alliance is finished, they just don't know it yet.

Cersei will kill him in an attempt to sever ties with the Tyrells. The Tyrells with say "Thank you very much" and go and attempt to marry the new widow to Aegon.

Cersei will then attempt to put Myrcella on the thorne, but once the girl returns from Dorne, Cersei will find that she isn't really Myrcella but the decoy cousin. The real Myrcella was actually killed during the Arienne/Darkstar incident.

Cersei will then go completely batshit and attempt to destroy KL using Aerys's hidden pots of wildfire. She will be stopped at the last minute by Jaime, the long suffering monarch-slayer, when he strangles her to death. Seconds after she dies, a pot of wildfire will explode in Jaime's face, killing him instantly.

Tommen will be killed by Cersei. UnGregor will defend her with trial by combat, but Loras will come back and defeat UnGregor( because Loras really isn't injured) and this will drive Cersei's paranoia to become a reality that the Tyrell's are plotting against her, and to save her son she poisons his food, before she is executed.

Aegon takes King's Landing and Connington has Tommen and Myrcella butchered in a symmetry to the butchering of the Targaryen children by the Lannisters. This has been set up by Connington recalling how at Stony Sept he wasn't ruthless enough, that Tywin would've been more ruthless and successful, and the ruthless people always win and he should be more like Tywin now.

Recently I have heard that Cersei is going to “corrupt” Tommen and turn him as evil as joffrey. Taking to heart this little nugget of wholly unbiased and totally believable speculation, I have composed the following cautionary tale for young children (complete with illustrations. Just click on the following links.)

Tommen’s Big Mistake: A Tale with a VERY IMPORTANT MESSAGE

Once there was an adorable, sweet, gentle little lion cub called Tommen.

His chubbinesss and his “aw, shucks” adorableness endeared him to readers everywhere

He loves spending his days in the following fashion:

Unfortunately, Tommen’s mother wasn’t a very good role model.

One day, Tommen went to have lunch with his mother.

When he came back, he was never the same again.

The End

I could see Cersei offing him accidentally. She seems to be nearing the level of paranoia, or at least will be soon after Kevan's death by crossbow, that she'll feel the need to defend herself against shadows. Would be largely fitting if she accidentally shot him with a crossbow thinking he was a dwarf.
