archer501
the thought that went through my mind when I watched that scene and the Other unleashed his war cry was: don't kill the fat man, he'll only slow us downYour team is only as strong as its weakest link...LOL. Petyr Baller
Maybe the army we saw in the last episode is the "good" Others and wights.
tyrions sliced nose
They dont kill him because he said his vow/oath in front of a heart tree. Hes protected, the others have a pact with the trees. Whites are free to do so tho.

Cravensbayne
Will didn't escape, Gared did. He had no ears and Bran makes note of it during his first beheading. The show had "Will" escape, but they didn't give names, and that actor best fit Will's description. Sam will probably sit and let them pass, then run like the craven he is. Joffrey_TheBastard
The only thing I said we knew was that the Others attack wildlings and the NIght's Watch. I'm pretty sure we do know that. Beyond knowing that and admitting that we don't really know much about their motives or personalities, the rest is guesswork. Much like "what we know is that they kill absolutely anyone they can". Not only do you not know that but it's just plain wrong. The Others didn't kill Craster or any of his wives/daughters. You can speculate as to the reasons why but the facts are that they could have killed them and they didn't. You people forgot about Gilly? Craster gives his male children to the White Walkers.. Although it hasn't been said so explicitly but we can safely assume that since the Others didn't kill Craster or any of his wives/daughters... Sam helped Gilly (Craster's wife).. or at least tried to.. maybe Gilly had a contact with the White Walkers and put in a word about a dull, fat guy..
