Jamie Lannister
The Dreadfort. It's like a giant, foreboding castle of evil, decorated with rows of torches grasped by "skeletal hands."Awesome. Creepy, but... awesome.
Lord Paramount of Essos
awesome till Ramsay comes home from the hunt :uhoh: :whip:
Artemis
Dorne.I've been obsessed with it since reading Arianne/Areo Hotah's chapters.More autonomy for women than the rest of Westeros (sans the wildlings north of the Wall) and the city where Oberyn Martell and the Sand Snakes are from? Yes, please!Braavos, if I had to choose somewhere in Essos. It seems like an amazing city from Arya's 'Cat of the Canals' chapter.
Quentyn the Blazed
The underwater city on the Rhoyne that is infested with the greyscale people. That city sounded awesome in its prime..Maybe its still a functioning city underwater (do the Stone Men have to breathe?). I wouldn't mind being a Stone Man just chillen and messing with all the ships that come through. There are Stone Women, right? Otherwise thats a deal breaker. After Aegon sits the Iron throne/dies a horribly awesome death, Griff will head over and pick out a nice vaction home underwater... he seems like a guy i could hang out with. The Last Direwolf
Winterfell, probably. It just seems such a nice, cozy place to live and grow up. Plus, the people at Winterfell when it was under the Starks were much more genuine and non southern-politic-y! :P
The Merling Queen
Dorne, hands down. It's removed from most of the chaos in Westeros.I love spicy food and I like my men tan and accenty :drool:I also like that the culture that promotes girl power. Jamie Lannister
awesome till Ramsay comes home from the hunt :uhoh: :whip:I wouldn't worry. Getting the Oberyn treatment from a golden fist will fix most of his problems...
Reek the Turncloak
What about Lannisport? We have no description of it, but I think it's a quite wealthy town, since the crown itself is in debt with the Lannisters.
The Scum
Westerlands or the Vale I think - I like mountains & stuff.Dorne would probably be too hot
Darth Visenya
The Wall, so I could throw myself off it to escape my fate as a commoner in Westeros.
Lady Martell
I would live in Dorne. Women have more freedom, and there's spicy food. Not to mention its peaceful.
Lady Lea
The Reach. There's plenty of food, it's not too warm or too cold, and they have nice gardens.
IMPudence
Ditto on Qarth. In the books it's basically described as the Constantinople of ASOIF. After that, maybe Bravos or Volantis...and a general big no to all of Westeros. Too much potential for war, and that giant ice wall to the north is just too much of a reminder of inherent insecuritiy.
Gaius Martell
Mayhaps I'd be landed knight in the Riverlands. Yeah, that sounds nice.
The Last Direwolf
Mayhaps I'd be landed knight in the Riverlands. Yeah, that sounds nice.Until some more powerful lord decided to declare war on the Tullys and burnt your keep :P
Quentyn the Blazed
The cities on Essos would all be nice but I'm not sure how big of a distinction there is between commoners and slaves. With the luck people seem to have in ASOIAF, you'll choose Qarth or Volantis and then before you can settle down some rich guy sees you and decides you'd make a fine addition to his collection of grotesques. savethedirewolves
Either Braavos or Dorne. At least in Braavos there is no slavery, so I'm good there. Being a shopkeeper (or just a clamseller ;)) or a merchant's wife doesn't seem so bad.Dorne seems to be better for women (as is mentioned by several posters above), though I'm not sure how much this holds for commoners. I too enjoy spicy food very much, and as I understand it Dorne is hot, but dry, so if there's a well it shouldn't be a problem. Besides, I have a thing for darkskinned men :P. RhaenysBee
Sunspear must be beautiful, but I don't take heat too well. Winterfell must be pretty, because I love the snow, but cold all the time...nope. It'd be the Riverlands or the Storm lands or King's Landing.
