What justifies the Ironborn's views of other peoples as 'weak'?

ok, not largest geographically, but the most powerful. The Kings of the North, the Rock, the Reach, all of them feared House Hoare.

Nope, all of those were more powerful.

Technically drowning more than dying, hence why Victarion fights in full plate, but considering how the Ironborn are hugely outnumbered in basically every engagement we see them fight/heard that they lose, I don't know what they were supposed to do...

How about not trying to take the entire Seven Kingdoms alone again and again?

You don't know that. Towards the end of the reign of House Hoare maybe, but at their height?

House Hoare and the Ironborns controlled the Riverlands for 100 years. Not that much time if you ask me. It was Harren the Black's grandfather who conquered it and Harren's rule must have been challenged for him to build Harrenhal.
