"Are you out there, can you hear this, Jimmy Olsen, Johnny Memphis..."

"You shine like moon over water,

and the air turns to night when you leave,

Now I want to know how to keep you -

Return to me..."

-

eta:

"Creatures veiled by night,

Following things that aren't right,

And they're tired and they need to be led,

But you'll scream and wail `till you're dead.

But give me to a rambling man,

Let it always be known that I was who I am"

Surprisingly soft, melancholy ->

"Sweet little words made for silence not talk

Young heart for love not heartache

Dark hair for catching the wind

Not to veil the sight of a cold world

Kiss while your lips are still red

While he's still silent

Rest while bosom is still untouched, unveiled

Hold another hand while the hand's still without a tool

Drown into eyes while they're still blind

Love while the night still hides the withering dawn..."

"

From my party house, I’m afraid to come outside

Although I’m filled with love I’m afraid they’ll hurt my pride

So I play the part I feel they want of me

And I pull the shades so I won’t see them seein’ me

Havin’ hard times in this crazy town

Havin’ hard times, there’s no love to be found

Havin’ hard times, in this crazy town

Havin’ hard times, there’s no love to be found"

Good song.

When I first heard it, the beginning made me think this was going to be a... less than stellar Muse song, but oh boy does it get better.

Only listened once. I don't want to overdo it so that I'm sick of the song when the album is finally released. :)

Ah, have you seen her duet with Johnny Flynn on "Water?" They are like two beautiful angels come down from heaven to sing with their angelic voices. Even his scars just make him look more beautiful.

"Shapes of every size

Move behind the eyes

Doors inside my head

Bolted from within

Every drop of flame

Lights a candle in

Memory of the one

Who lives inside my head"

Shadow on the Sun- Audioslave

Other than Audioslave, I've been catching up on Muse in preparation for their new album.

I know everyone says Madness is a different sound for them, but I keep thinking about Endlessly from Absolution. I have high hopes for the new album. I was fairly disappointed in Resistance, but this one is shaping up well.

Wow, thanks for that!

"...I never had to learn to love her like I learned to love the Bomb

She just came along and started to ignore me

But as we waited for the Big One

I started singing her my songs

And I think she started feeling something for me

We passed the time with crosswords that she thought to bring inside

What five letters spell "apocalypse" she asked me

I won her over saying "W.W.I.I.I."

She smiled and we both knew that she'd misjudged me..."

Holy shit that was brutal/poignant awesome.

"...I see my childhood, I'm back in the arms of my mother

I see my whole life, I see Christ, I see bright lights

I see Israelites, Muslims and Christians at peace, no fights

Blacks, Whites, Asians, people of all types

I must have died, then I woke up, surprised I'm alive

I'm in a hospital bed, they rescued me, I survived

I escaped the war, came back

But ain't escape Agent Orange, two of my kids born handicapped

Spastic, quadriplegic, micro cephalic Cerebral palsy,

cortical blindness, name it they had it

My son died he ain't live, but I still try to think positive

Cause in life, God take, God give"

I just finished the opera Don Giovanni by Mozart with the chorus and orchestra of La Scala sung by Anna Netrebko and Bryn Terfel. It comes next the song called The conqueror worm 2 based in the work of E. Poe by Sopor Aeternus and the Ensable of Shadows and it comes next the Concerto no. 2 RV 279 La Stravaganza by Antonio Vivaldi with Rachel Podger

The most useful way to divide the body of music created by man, is into Dire Straits, and non-Dire Straits. I tend to agree with this analysis.

But lately I've been listening to instrumental acoustic songs by the ... Candyrat studio I think it's called.

EDIT: learning how to tie a link to a word =D

Any links for this? Sounds like something enjoyed strictly by people who know enough about music history to find it....
