Coolest names in the ASOIAF universe?

Rolex Baratheon

George Martin gives his characters really amazing names, not typical fantasy-sounding names. And the names really suit the characters. I think the coolest name yet is Stannis Baratheon. The an sound and then the thee-un sound makes the whole name really profoundly bad-ass and intense.

Rhaegar Targaryen sounds simply majestic, Roose Bolton sounds cold and cunning. Both very cool names. And Edric Storm is a cool as hell name, who wouldn't want to be a bastard in the stormlands? xD Daemon Blackfyre is up there as well as is Viserys Targaryen.

Khal Pono is NOT cool. xD

Rhaegar just makes me think of some swoony, emo prince. Actually, that's probably because that's how he came off to me in the books. But Rhaegar itself is a cool name.

I like the name Melisandre. Did I spell that right? I think it's beautiful.

Love the last names Stark and Targaryen.

Dolorous Edd. Even though its a nickname technically. Jorah Mormont has a nice flow, as does Ilyrio Mopatis. Lancel Lannister is the nicest Lannister name I think, and Sansa of the Starks. Jojen and Benjen are cool first names. But my absolute favorite has to be Mirri Maz Dur. It just sounds mysterious and dark. Well, and Melisandre is a beautiful name too, but I'm not positive how to pronounce it. Roy Dotrice pronounces it "Melisaand", and I always said "Melisaandra". What's correct?

` Lyn Corbray I like. Sounds very dangerous.

I also like Rickon Stark.

Of course, Yohn Royce. Especially when you add "Bronze".

Beric Dondarrion is a mouthful but so different that it's distinct. (redundant?)

Greatjon Umber is also bad-ass and fitting.

The names he gives his characters really suit their personality/story arcs, which is good.

As for the best name ever: BERIC DONDARRION!

Runner ups:

- Stannis Baratheon: Robert/Renly Baratheon doesn't have the same ring to it

- Daenerys Targaryen: sounds so other-wordly

- Sansa Stark - very sensual

- Nissa Nissa - I just like it, I don't really know why

- Victarion Greyjoy - what a badass-sounding name
