ME! pretty please xD Seriously I'd love to get cast as Val, but it's a big role so I can see them choosing a more famous actress; (I'd love otherwise Tyene, or if they condense some spearwives role into one..); here's some pix:

^ Well, I'd say go for it, if you don't try, you'll never know... and if you don't get it, what have you lost?

Well a fan from WiC twitted me a couple of days ago that the castings were up, I found a site where they asked for headshots+resume to be sent by postal mail, did it of course.. but they didnt ask for a demo-reel that's weird. Will film some scenes from later ASOIAF new female characters at the end of the month, couldn't hurt to send a DVD too.. xD

Hey, well since there was a leaked video for Styr many thought the casting was already underway, so I found back a link for the season 3 casting call (had found th same before for season 2 etc) with the address, it's here: http://www.acting-au...s-season-3.html

Honestly, I wouldn't waste my time with unsollicited submissions. The only way you could get on the show at this stage is to either a) have a reputable agent in the UK + an IMDB page with recognisable credits, or b ) move to Belfast, sign up with extras.ni and hope they need a small speaking role when you're on set.

If you want to realistically assess your chances, compare your body of work with the credits of other supporting characters on the show:

Hey, yep finding a good agent remains the most important, but I sent my headshots etc since it's what they ask each year in the casting calls (extras send sth to Belfast) and principal actors directly to Sterne and Gold - which means they are still looking for the right actor for the part, not just a famous one. Of course to get noticed only with a letter would be almost a miracle, but since it's asked in the casting call I think I got nothing to lose (and can just hope, pray, and seriously keep looking for a good agent for next year ha!)

But I saw on this board a young actress who said she got an audition for Meera but the stress was too much and she didn't go ahead, northern-_shewolf I think, does anyone know how she got that casting? I would bet via her agent but I'd like to know more about how she was asked in!

The casting call on that website is actually for extras (that's why they haven't provided any character briefs). The website has included Sterne and Gold's contact information (which is freely available to the public), but that doesn't mean Sterne and Gold want to be contacted. Most casting directors will throw out unsollicted submissions without even opening them. That's why they don't ask for showreels (because they don't have time to watch them, let alone look at your resume and DVDs don't shred very well).

The only way you would have a chance of being noticed without an agent is if you are in a minority group (ie. you are over 7 feet tall, have dwarfism, etc.).

If they decide to keep Val (which they probably will because she has boobs), I think she would be a good opportunity to bring known GoT fan Charlize Theron into the fold...just saying she's kind of exactly what I imagined Val looking like.

In 2009, Levieva played Lisa P. in the comedy Adventureland. The same year, she made an appearance in the NBC drama Kings (in the episode "First Night") and starred in the play The Retributionists. She also stars in HBO's comedy-drama series How to Make it in America. In 2011 she appeared in the thriller film The Lincoln Lawyer, with Matthew McConaughey. Her other film credits include The Stand Up, Knights of Badassdom, For Ellen and Loft.

From 2011-2013, Levieva appeared on the ABC drama series Revenge in the recurring role of the original Emily Thorne, who agreed to switch identities with Amanda Clarke (Emily VanCamp). Levieva's character was killed in the Feb. 17, 2013 episode. In 2012, it was announced she would join the second season of HBO's Luck in the recurring role of Sarah Israel. However, the series was canceled after its first season.

Val is a young woman, she wouldnt be over 20 in the books

For me Tabrett Bethell is perfect for Val
