Envie
Well, in the books, the entire luncheon was carefully orchestrated to be a cover-up so no suspicions were raised. Butterbumps and the loud "A BEAR, A BEAR!" singing along with all the 'cackling of the hens' was intentional to drown out the conversation and questioning of Sansa. They did not make the TV version nearly as chaotic or funny (sadly) so the fact that Sansa is left relatively alone with Olenna and Margaery isn't quite as convincing. I'm guessing the two guards following closely is to remind watchers that Sansa is definitely still a Lannister prisoner.
King Tyrion I
Yeah, QoT would not have allowed them any where near that table or conversation. The guards can follow her where ever, but I assumed we were seeing into the manor that the Tyrells were staying at so the Lannister guards would have been stopped at the front door.Unfortunately we didn't get to see Butterbumps in that scene, was looking forward to that.I agree to this.
