[Book Spoilers] Talisa

So what does everyone think? Is she a spy for Tywin?

I'm not convinced yet but how did Twyin know about The Karstarks so fast? Varys little birds?

Thinking back on it, Her trying to convince Robb not to kill Karstark kinda puts a dent in that theory i think but still I kinda hope she is in league with Tywin.

I think that would make a great story line but I don't think the producers would want to piss off the book readers by changing Robb's storyline so much (they've already changed enough). I mean just think about the uproar the whole sick Jon/Catelyn revelation got. Can you imagine peoples reactions to this?

Although, I'm hoping they kill Talisa off with the RW. She gets on my nerves and I (perhaps unfairly) blame her! It would also add to the devastation and emotional impact of the event if she dies too.

You're not the first one I've heard saying this though....

I'd approve of this change overall, given it's a surprise for book readers as well. I don't think there's that much love in the fanbase for Jeyne Westerling, and even if there was, they made a decision to change her character. I'd rather her be a spy for Tywin Lannister than some out of place modern social commentary on a noble marrying a commoner out of "true love".

I personally think (in the show) she is/was a spy for Tywin.

It was too much of a coincidence that right before that Tywin says in the meeting something about helping him make some mistakes and then boom here comes beautiful girl writing letters.

Also her "ok I am a spy I was just writing 'the young wolf is on the move'". Really similar to the letter Arya was trying to get that said basically the same thing.

I believe that she came because of Tywin but over the course of her interaction with Robb she has started having a change of heart. I suspect in the book that her family was aware of what was going on and Jenye was just the tool.

So far, the show has offered no proof that Talisa is a spy - the information attributed to her could have come from a combination of Roose and people observing troop movements.

I don't understand why people want her to be a spy. Yes, it would be a plot twist and a surprise. But is it anything besides a plot twist to you?

I don't want her to be a spy because I think Robbs story is already dark enough and sad enough. It is one thing for Robb to marry for love and lose alliances and get himself beheaded by his bannermen. But it is just entirely pathetic for Robb to fall for a honeypot and play into Tywin's manipulations for 2 seasons before Tywin decides to stop toying with him and launches RW. The second scenario has echoes in Ramsay's treatment of Theon and Jon's treatment of Ygritte, but do we really need those echoes? We have so much betrayal, so many lies, can't we also have genuine love?

I see Robb's storyline as being one of "good intentions aren't enough". Spy Talisa pushes Robb's storyline into more of "good guys are chumps", which isn't as satisfying a storyline for me.

 it would be much more dramatic for both of them to get killed -- and then if they made her a spy i wouldn't care

FUCK YOU TALISA THAT SCENE WOULD HAVE BEEN AWESOME WITH CAT ADVISING ROBB WITHOUT YOU INTERRUPTING HER AND GIVING HIM BATTLE ADVICE

FUCK YOU TALISA AND FUCK WHOEVER CREATED YOU

:agree: finally someone who shares the same perspective on this character  , like hated jeyne in the books mainly because she made robb keep grey wind away from him all the time-- i really don't like her character but that's fine with me because whether or not she does die at the Red Wedding won't make a difference to me

:agree: Her character is so dam smug and annoying. I hated that scene where she was on about Robb being a werewolf and the way she was riding that horse like queen bee in the first episode!

If she's a spy, that'd be so cliche and stupid. Maybe from a strictly viewer standpoint it'd be a good twist, and maybe I just know too much and have too many feelings regarding the RW to see it otherwise right now. I just think the betrayal of the Boltons is so huge and makes them so hated that it should only come down to them. It cheapens it to have some sort of mystery spy lover. And I'll puke if she's a spyer-falling-for-the-spyee.

That said, she totally came across as a spy this episode. "I don't even know where Winterfell is~! All this time being in the SAME ROOM AS THIS FUCKING MAP, and all this time FOLLOWING AROUND NORTHERNERS, I never learned!" What even, woman.

I think she's a spy. There was that suspicious letter she was writing last season...and that little off-color remark about being a Lannister spy just seems too juicy to not be true. I also am at a loss as to why they wouldn't just stick with Jeyne Westerling as Robb's love interest if they're not trying to spice up the storyline somehow, and having her be a spy would do it.

She is hot and that's about as far as her usefulness goes. No nude scenes yet wtf?

Keep it classy with the sexual objectification of women. You're clearly watching the show for the right reasons..

(Porn is free online, you know.)

What she said....

Also, if Catelyn had loved Jon Snow, Charlie Chaplin wouldn't have impregnated one of his wives which eventually leads us to Oona.

And, DON'T EVEN LOOK AT CATELYN, TALISA, YOU'RE THE COUSIN OLIVER OF GOT. STFU, AND GO MEND SOME FLESH SOMEWHERE. ASSHOLE.

well, I feel better....
