Fragile Bird
I'm a Catholic, so I know all about the power of confession. Some people assume it has to do with forgiveness, but that's not really it, it's about receiving grace for recognizing where you are doing something wrong, and it's about breaking something that has power over you by admitting to it. There's a reason so many stories and novels use the idea of naming an evil as something that has power, either for good or bad. If you can't name it, you can't fight it, right? (I need to cut this short, since ever since my Windows update last night, I can't use the return button, forgive me for the length of paragraph. :) ) In any event, this is intended to be a light-hearted look a bad habits or occasional misdeeds, something you know if you start naming it you might be able to stop. What brought this up? I'm going out of town for a few days and decided to clean out my fridge, and I was appalled at the amount of stuff I need to throw out. I buy too much, I know, I have great plans for lovely dishes and soups, and then I end up going out to eat too often. I promise to do better, really I do, I'm going to start planning my meals, the way Deedles does. :) And for those of you disappointed about my confession, please set an example and tell us all about what you need to confess. :P
Ken Stone
I always thought Confession was about the Priest finding out dirt so he could blackmail you for indulgences.

Sci-2
I confess: I spend entirely too much time on this site while I'm at work. That's likely just about everybody. :-)I'm gonna go with my former addiction to lesbian pornography.[Was a joke I don't think anyone got.]
Mlle. Zabzie
I read really (really) trashy romance novels from time to time. Then (and this is the worst part) I note all of the historical innaccuracies and anachronisms I can find.

NestorMakhnosLovechild
FB - I am terribly disappointed that you would be so wasteful with food when you are well aware of the fact that so many people live in the harshest of food desert conditions, sometimes being forced to take the bus upwards of a whole mile to get to a grocery store only to find out that you have purchased all of the fresh vegetables and there are none available for them! The guilt, the terrible guilt as I cleaned out my fridge drove me to start this thread. I need some grace to help me stop doing such things. :)
thecryptile
My confession: I care more about comic books than politics and world events. Immigration? Abortion? Gun Control? FUHGEDDABOUTIT! In my circle the acrimonious debates are about Marvel's Superhero Civil War and Mutant Registration! There's a guy who stopped speaking to me over whether Wolverine's real name is Logan or Thomas Howlett!

Elder Sister
You people are so sick.Shockingly, I have some bad habits. I know some of you will be aghast. I apologize for letting you down. :PI adore ABBA and can dance around for hours pretending to be a disco princess. I'm not proud of this, but even worse, I like some Barry Manilow and Neil Diamond songs.Kid Rock is my secret crush. He's just so trashy. I can tell I would probably go to jail if I hung out with him, but we would have fuuuuun. Conversely, I also crush on Anderson Cooper. I cannot explain this insanity and will not even try.I watch "Awkward" on MTV on a regular basis.I hate flossing my teeth. I would seriously rather be slapped across the face than do it.I think documentaries are boring. I've tried to be an intellectual, and it's just not meant to be. So while you're watching crap on Discovery and NatGeo, I'm watching Real Housewives and The Soup. Please feel free to revel in your superiority.A fried bologna, egg and cheese sandwich with lots of mayo is Nirvana.Yeah, I'm trashy. Deal with it. :D

Then (and this is the worst part) I note all of the historical innaccuracies and anachronisms I can find. I have done this more times than I can count. Do it with tv shows too (which drives the husband nuts) I adore ABBA and can dance around for hours pretending to be a disco princess. Not sure about the slap in the face, but I hate flossing too, documentaries are boring and mayo is gross, but the rest souns lovely.other than those I am pretty lazy. I work when I have to, but given the option, I would rather not. Give me a book and a shadey seat outside and I won't get any work done.
deleted01
I really enjoy TV soaps. Emmerdale, Coronation Street, EastEnders.. love 'em. My perfect evening includes a cuppa tea, slice of cake, and crappy, over-dramatic soaps.
Elder Sister
I don't eat that crap anymore, but if I live to be 80, baby, it's on like Donkey Kong. And I floss, but I still hate it. :(
