GramWalk12
We all know that Bittersteel (Ser Aegor Rivers) took the sword Blackfyre from the corpse of Daemon Blackfyre and fled westoros to later form the Golden Company. Assuming the company didnt lose it along the way to Aegons hands wouldnt he have it if he is a Blackfyre pretender as every one has come to believe. Your thoughts?. assjfjgjsgjljljglgjfjsduar
On the one hand, it'd be fitting for a Targaryen claimant to have Blackfyre. On the other, if you're a Blackfyre pretending to be a Targaryen, having a sword last known to be in the hands of Blackfyre supporters might send the wrong message. Artos Stark
I do believe he has the sword but it hasn't been confirmed yet, at least not to my knowledge.
Lion of Judah
It is likely that the Golden Company gave him the sword, but it's just as likely that they may have sold it as well. They are sellswords after all.
not in the face
Did Maelys the Monstrous wield Blackfyre during his war?
Ser Greg of House House
The last known owner was the Golden Company. They may have given it to him, but then again as people said it would raise suspicion that he's a Blackfyre. But I guess he could say that the Golden Company gave it to him because there were no Blackfyres anymore so they supported a Targ.
GramWalk12
While were on subject, anyone have any ideas on what Bloodraven did with Dark Sister? I think he still has it with him and has some grand design for Bran and possibly Jon.
GramWalk12
It would be fitting for a Targaryen claimant to have Blackfyre or Dark Sister but neither of them are close to one if Aegon is Daemon Blackfyres heir.
GramWalk12
It doesnt say Maelys had Blackfyre which leads me to think the Golden Company might have lost it however GRRM tends to leave out bits of information to extend the suspense.

I think it will be gifted to him as it was once the personal sword of Targaryen kings since Aegon the Conqueror.
Ser Greg of House House
Anyway, a Targ without a Valyrian sword is kind of lame
King Crow
Blackheart is the Captain-general that signed a contract with Varys. If Varys decided to share Aegon's true heritage with the Golden Company, that knowledge could have died alongside their former Captain-general. Homeless Harry might actually believe that Aegon is a Targaryen, and that belief may cause him to be reluctant to award Aegon with Blackfyre. The Golden Company not giving Blackfyre to Aegon signifies their reservations with serving a Targaryen. Honestly, their loyalty is taken for granted and it should not be. mindchap
I would love to see Arya end up with Darksister somehow. I know it's a long shot but the name just fits perfectly with the path she's on.
GramWalk12
That would be awesome if she got it, she is like Visenya in some ways. Bran and Arya might interact somehow while he's with Bloodraven and Arya might receive it there because i know Bloodraven has a plan for Dark Sister unless it was lost. Who knows anyways lol
