[Book Spoilers] Anybody else surprised...

...we didn't find out who's keeping Theon captive this episode? I was almost sure Ramsay was going to tell Theon after he got his manhood abused.

This makes me wonder when we'll find out. It obviously won't be next episode, and I highly doubt they'd do it in "The Rains of Castamere"

So that leaves the finale, which is kinda odd.

Any thoughts?

I think Ramsay will reveal himself to Theon in Episode 10, but in Episode 8 or 9 (Whenever Roose meets up with Robb) we'll get the scene where Roose gives Robb the skin from Theon's finger.

I thought we would too, maybe they're saving it for a season finale, so they can reveal it and cause all of the non-book people to scratch their heads and say "who is bruce bolton?"

its the dumbest "mystery" ever. Roose already said to Robb last season that he was sending his bastard to retake winterfell from Theon. Then, people showed up and retook winterfell from Theon. Anyone who was paying attention should already know who it is, and anyone who wasn't probably doesn't even remember who Roose Bolton is anyhow, and therefore will not give a crap when Boy is revealed.

It will be after the RW. Ramsay spoke about how good of a hunt it would be to go after Bran and Rickon, which would seem a bit odd to non readers if they got told it was a northman sworn to Robb's older brother before he is dead.

No one is going to care who boy is, its too late, by the time the audience knows who boy is, Robb will be walking into the RW, so who cares.

It did occur to me they might end the season with the Liddle scene with Bran and Jojen telling him that the wolves will come again....to give the audience some hope.

But, probably it will be somebody at the whore house.

maybe they will have the Liddle scene, but the Liddle will be a naked female liddle that Hodor hired because he thought it would cheer up Jojen since Osha has been ragging on him all season.

I like it, or they might find some other hot springs and everyone can be naked...Osha naked again, a naked hot, trimmed up Liddle woman, or two, Meera naked, that would be great, er what was that guy saying about wolves coming again, nevermind.

I've been a big defender of Theon's scenes this season and will continue to be.

However, if they don't reveal everything, including who 'Boy' really is as well as his role in what went down at Winterfel this seasonl, the people claiming these scenes are a waste of time will unfortunately be correct.

I don't know why they're being so mysterious about his identity when anybody who actually pays attention should know who he is.

That's what I'm saying! They already said so last season!

Robb" I am going to retake winterfell"

Roose "you are king, you don't have to do everything yourself, ill send my bastard"

Robb "cool, thanks Roose, sending your bastard is a great idea"

hmmmm...who could have retaken winterfell from Theon then kept him as a prisoner?

could it be the guy that they talked about sending last season to do exactly that?

It's no wonder they decided they weren't up to any kind of Selmy mystery. This has become so silly. There is one episode until Robb gets stabbed by Roose Bolton, what in the hell is the point of keeping boy's identity a secret, or a sort of a secret because if you are paying attention and haven't gotten it after the horn blowing the big X that is the same as the X on the Bolton banners and the 'send my bastard to winterfell...then, you'll never get it.

I have faith in d&d. IMO they have done a pretty damn good job with this season thus far, and when they finally get around to the reveal (which i think will be Episode 9) it will be done well. That being said yes at this point Boy is obviously Roose's bastard I MEAN RAMSEY...never bastard....

No it is too tied to the fact it is Ramsey who burned and sacked Winterfell which is too tied to the Boltons wholly betraying the Starks which IS the Red Wedding.

The reveal will be tied to the Red Wedding and probably will happen right before or right after it; maybe even transposed to happen during it to really build tension before people start getting shanked left and right.

I think the way they are keeping this a "mystery" still is way more stupid than the torture porn tbh. Like, what is the point, apart from totally confusing non book viewers who already struggle to remember who is Roose Bolton? I liked it at the beginning, i mean, Ramsay playing "a game" with theon is totally in character and was really well played, but why drag it on longer than 1 episode...

Ramsay will either be revealed just before the events of the RW, so the audience will go.... Uh oh, what??! Or they will just let the RW be a complete and total shock and therefore reveal Ramsay in episode 10

Who cares? What is the big deal about this "mystery"? What is the viewer only reaction going to be when t hey find out that Roose Bolton...who they should know has betrayed Robb since he sent the Kingslayer to KL and let his men throw Brienne in a bear pit...has a son whose torturing Theon? What am I missing here?
