Lux Starkgaryen
Hello,I already posted about it in the book forum (looking for female roles in the books yet to be adapted), but now that S.Blacker - thought to be Val- appeared as another character, it looks like Val will be cast for season 4, therefore such a topic belongs more in the "Casting" part of the forum (if the mods want to close the one on the "novels" section..)I am an actress, 23, been acting for 12 years, went to a professionnal drama school, and I'd love to get an audition for the part of Val: I am blonde, pale-skinned, have her "voluptuous" figure but do martial arts, I even used to horseride as a child; I am French but bilingual, and when people spot an accent they think I'm from Sweden, that kind of country, which could be good for her - but would be incredibly happy if I could get 'only' a smaller role à la Tyene, or as some people said, a spearwife if they condensed most of them into one bigger role. I also used to dye my hair a lot, so a white female with red or brown etc hair would be good..The casting call I saw on a casting website only asked for headshots+resume to be sent to Sterne and Gold, I did so - they did not ask for a demo-reel, but I will film one at the end fo the month -alas Val and Tyene have no monologue so I'll act the "vengeance" one from Ellaria - I dont look like her but it will be to showcase my acting abilities, I think I can look like Val..There are some pictures:http://www.facebook....=1&l=7835c80964http://www.facebook....=1&l=9bd4f94cf3http://www.facebook....=1&l=85ae9717bahttp://www.facebook....=1&l=b782ec340chttp://www.facebook....=1&l=1fc035344fhttp://www.facebook....=1&l=ddaea85fcfI guess it's enough. (the ones with platine shorter hair are kinda old.) For those who want to look at something I did, here's the link for my latest role in a short movie - beware it's violent and in French! but the ahem action is understanble in itself don't worry. Just don't flag the vid for it's content, it's not a real rape it's acting, thanks (and I find myself hideous but hum, yeah..) or directly some rushes of the most intense scenes: (all in all 15mn, so my favs are number 3, 6, 7, 10 and 11): And a tiny little fight scene (my being there starting really at 1:45); and such a shame,if the shot was wider my big moment was supposed to be a mawashi (circular kick) hitting the guy in his heas at 2:58 dammit! and bear un my mind it was a remake, so I could'nt reallu push the director to do a longer fight with "real" kicks, or weapons (swords, katana, knives etc) as I would have preferred.. anyway..: What do you think? Do you have any idea of how to get some publicity to get noticed? On and outside of this site? First let's hope my headshots will please them, but such a demo-reel could be good, don't you think? Lux Starkgaryen
Any feedback - on the pix/rushes, roles you'd see me in: Val? Tyene? Or someone else? For ex if they made a RR prequel I'd say a young Cersei, ot with brown hair, Lyanna..? - would be appreciated + help to get the word out there.. getting an audition would almost be a miracle, but besides hoping one can try! BlackTalon
I have always thought Charlize Theron would make a great Val - normally she would be far far too big for the show but she is crazy about the series and has said that she would be open for a role if somebody asked her. Lux Starkgaryen
I like Charlize Theron but I picture Val a bit younger, and I don't know with a different vibe.. that's why I'd like to play her more than say Tyene (as if I had the choice, just hesitating between two contracts lol.. if only!), not just it's a bigger role, but because (as of now!! dont know what both will get in TWOW-ADOS / on screen) there's more to act: how to turn the "warrior princess a bit mystical" stereotype into a complex role/performance.. Gosh I'd so love that  :drunk:
