A list of Lannister crimes and wrong doings

Recommended Posts

A few people I know who like the Lannisters always say they haven't done much wrong. So I told them this community could come up with an entire list of Lannister crimes and wrongs just in the time the series has begun. This is my attempt at doing so and any help would be appreciated.

- Jaime and Cersei twincest

- Jaime pushing Bran

- Joffrey putting a hit on Bran

- Cersei whipping Alayaya

- Cersei aborting Roberts child

- Joffrey lying about his run in with Arya

- Cersei having Ned arrested

- Joffreys torture of innocent people, most prominently Sansa

- Tyrions kinslaying

- Cersei ordering Roberts bastard to be killed

- Tyrion raping someone

- Jaime threatening to deliver Edmures child via trebuchet

- Tywin letting loose Ser Gregor and his lot on the Riverlands

- Having a Kettleblack kill the HS

- Tywin pardoning participants in the Red Wedding as well as Jeyne Westerling

- Cersei handing over people for Qyburns experiments

- Conspiracy to murder the LC of the NW

- Joffrey killing smallfolk

- Cersei providing false testimonies against Tyrion during his murder trial

- Cersei ordering Mandon Moore to kill Tyrion

- Tyrion for not turning in Podrick for murdering Mandon Moore

- Tyrion torturing Pycelle and sending him to the black cells with no trial

- Cersei giving Jeyne Pool to Littlefinger

- Tyrion not going public with twincest

- Tyrion having Symond the singer killed

- Tyrion existing

- Cersei plotting to have Bronn killed

- Cersei and Lancel incest

- Joffrey sending the Hound against Mycah

And those are just the ones off the top of my head. What might I be missing?

Personally, I wouldn't include that on the list.

If you're going to make a list of Lannister crimes, I think Tywin would be at the top when he let lose his dogs of war in the Riverlands, with Cersei and Joffrey both at a close 2nd for their "mischief" in KL (mischief being torture and murder).

I'm including crimes and immoral actions. I should have been more clear. And Tywins actions will be edited in, thanks.

Huh, I'll have to re-read that bit. Anyway you should probably include "Tyrion chokes a whore to death." Also, probably everything Gregor has done since the books started.

- Cersei aborting Robert's child (goes with twincest)

- Joffrey ordering the hit on Bran

- Cersei whipping Alayaya (or however that is spelled)

But who are you to blame Cersei for arresting Ned anyway?

it was wrong in the sense that Cersei knew arresting Ned was concealing the truth about her crimes.

it's on page 25 of the hard copy of ADWD. I'd put the text here myself but it's pretty annoying to do so from a phone.

I don't think twincest is a crime or even immoral (Robert was cheating on Cercei anyway) although it is gross.

Other crimes:

1) There is a strong hint that Joffrey molested or abused Tommen (could go under "Joffrey torturing innocents" but maybe it deserves a special mention)

2) Tywin letting loose Amory Lorch and Gregor on Elia and her children

3) Tywin having his guards rape Tysha

4) Tyrion participating in (3) (although how much blame he has is debateable)

5) Cercei giving all those people to Quyburn for his freak experiments

6) Cercei causing a number of deaths (mostly dwarves) when she put a hit on Tyrion and did not discourage people who brought her the heads of innocents

7) Tywin bringing the Bloody Mummers to Westeros

8) Cercei ordering the killing of the High Septon in AFFC because she thought he was "Tyrion's creature"

9) Cercei trying to frame Margery

To me, one of the interesting plotlines is Tyrion making a deal with the martells to hand the mountain over, but then he (and Tywin once he becomes hand) renege on it, another very obvious instance of not "paying their debts". I dont think any lannister is actually able to adhear to that motto.
