Recent tweet by Art Parkinson that seems to confirm Rickon will be in S4

Belfast and dublin in one day sooo many lines so little time !

Wait, "soo many lines"? I'm guessing/hoping that's more than he had before!

I am actually looking forward to this, Art was pretty good in "The Rains of Castamere", and I've always liked Osha on the show. Also, time for some intense hunting scenes!

Also, if Rickon is important to the end game, it's good that we're spending time with him. Ofc, if him an Osha are caught and flayed, I guess he isn't going to be important. But I don't think even this show would go that far.

Yep, looks like Rickon/Osha will be getting their own arc next season. I guess that could be used to fill out time in S4 if they don't want to get too deep into AFfC/ADwD. They'll probably be the "Theon" of S4.

I doubt it'll be much of an arc. I think that Ramsay will be hunting Rickon for the first few episodes before tiring and meeting Roose at Winterfell. Maybe Jeyne could be introduced here as a girl Ramsay captures during the hunt?

Any girl Ramsay captures will probably be a commoner. Jeyne needs to be a highborn girl that is familiar with Winterfell. They could simply just introduce Jeyne Poole at the end of next season and say that she was part of Ned's household guard and survived the murders.

Hmmh. Something, admittedly not very likely, occured to me. Maybe Ramsay does catch Rickon and he plays the role of fArya. Hey, not in that way! :drunk: But as a Stark that Theon saves.

If we do get Osha and Rickon in S4, I'm more interested in seeing if they actually have them link up with the Umbers as was their plan. Would be interesting to see if they cast anyone to play an Umber.

Outside of getting Theon and Ramsay away from the Dreadfort, I really don't get the point of them hunting Rickon and Osha if they aren't going to end up being successful. If Rickon/Osha are going to be onscreen, I'd like to see them in a different type of adventure.

I'll repeat again that I think it's Yara who is on the collision course with Theon/Ramsay, not Rickon/Osha.

There are several posts in that thread explaining why this actress cannot possibly be playing Jeyne Poole or her equivalent, the most important that she is way, way, way too young.

Yeah, I thought about that after I posted. Then again, there are also suggestions in that thread that she could be a Sand Snake... I think King Tommen (who I'll assume is same poster) is probably right, in that it's a minor role (similar to the Tyrell cousin who Olenna lightly berated), with just a few speaking lines.

Ramsay bringing Reek on the hunt for the Stark boys would be a good way to include more scenes with the two of them while keeping them connected to the rest of the plot. The problem with the Theon-Ramsay scenes in season 3 was that they seemed disconnected from everything else. Ramsay doesn't know exactly what the two boys look like anyway

She's far too young to be fake Arya.

I'm not sure why Leaf is being dismissed? Bran has no ASoS material left; concluding the season with him meeting Bloodraven seems natural.

Don't think that Bran will be featured that heavily in S4 and they've delayed the intro of Coldhands so that will be a major part of his story in S4. And they didn't show Sam arming up the whole crew with Dragonglass for no reason. They'll be meeting up with wights and Walkers. My guess is that you may see only a tiny bit of Bran's ADwD material if any at all.

She's either someone like Leaf, which I think would be a good idea, or a character created just for the show, like Violet and Myranda. She won't be fArya because she's WAY too young for the role, and besides, she's supposed to be older than Arya, and the actress clearly looks younger than Maisie Williams.

Well there is only a tiny bit of Bran material in ADwD. All he does is travel, get attacked by wights, meet Bloodraven, and begin his training. Even with Coldhands' introduction (which certainly isn't guaranteed), there isn't enough material for a character arc unless they move more ADwD material forward. Without Bran meeting Bloodraven, he makes no progress this season. The same goes for Arya with regards to Braavos. If she doesn't reach the House of Black and White in the finale, what progress has she made?

I'd say Season 4 will end with him meeting Bloodraven, appearing only sporadically throughout the season. Season 5 will be his flashbacks, dreams and training, mostly used to fill the audience in on the lore and backstory we missed. We could maybe have a couple of visions similar to those in the House of the Undying in the books to introduce several prophecies. They'll probably have to end his Season 5 arc with some WoW material.

Boy, seasons 4 and 5 are really going to annoy some of the Unsullied, since the Starks will take a back seat for most of these two seasons. Arya, Bran and Sansa have 3 chapters of source material between them for season 5. They're either going to have to conjure up some more material for them to work with, or they need to use some TWOW material. I was hoping the inclusion of the Reeds would provide some desperately needed background info on the Tower of Joy and Robert's Rebellion. Hopefully they address this with some Bloodraven scenes.

I can't even imagine how few fucks my Unsullied friends will give about Victarian, Euron, Doran, Arianne and the lot, particularly since they'll be replacing screentime formerly dedicated to the Starks. However, I think the Lannister's are popular/entertaining enough to sustain their interests, even the loss of that family dynamic in Season 5 may be poorly received.

You can see why they've added Tyrell/Lannister material- to fight the emptiness in King's Landing after Joffrey, Tywin and Tyrion exit the stage. Dorne and the Iron Islands will be a poor consolation.

Which is why it would be a really good idea to add Arianne as part of Oberyn's escort to KL in s4. It establishes the audience's attachment to the character earlier, rather than just throwing a new plotline at them with completely new characters and settings and expecting them to care. They're going to have a ton of characters to introduce in s5, so why not just cut the workload and introduce a couple of them in season 4?

I agree, but any word that they're casting Arienne?
