The Red Woman, the Red Priestess, the Red God, etc. etc. And an East Asian actress with red hair would seem too anime. I'm saying that as a East Asian who likes a lot of anime (or at least, what little of it I've seen). It would strike the wrong tone for the series. It makes sense that they would go and cast a white actress to play this role. While Yi Ti and Leng are written as being East-Asian inspired, other eastern regions like Qarth and Asshai are not, however, with the Milk Men from Qarth and the rest of Essos seemingly a mix of different races. Someone that Stannis would be willing to betray his honor with. The casting for Mel couldn't be any better. Next you'll be saying Dany should of been cast as a black woman.
