KissedByFireAndBlood
Could be one you think was a game changer, or something you think the series could not have gone forward without, or just the most badass event in the series so far :Dmy choice is Daenerys' dragons hatching/the red comet in the sky. The red comet influenced quite a few of the characters, they all had their own interpretations of what it meant and it definitely egged on the actions of some of the characters (i.e. Melisandre) besides that, the dragons are just awesome, and without them Daenerys wouldn't be able to do a lot of the things she's done (by using them as a threat + proof of her claim to the throne)
King of Winters
Rhaegar and Lyanna falling in love. If that hadn't of happened then we'd have no RR, Greyjoy Rebellion, Wot5K.
WeirwoodTreeHugger
That is too hard. Lysa and LF killing Jon Arryn set the war of five kings into motion. The reemergence of magic might be even more important though.
shk12344
When Jon Snow is stabbed by fellow Nightwatchers. It will set up a rebirth of Jon Snow as AA/PTWP/Last Hero and eventual winner of Iron Throne. Fitting end to the process that began with Rhaegar and Lyanna. RhaenysBee
Well, plot-wise it's the death of Robert Baratheon and the hatching of the dragons... If we consider what's the most important scene/event with regard to the message and the whole world view of the series, it would be Ned's executionSansa building snow Winterfell Jon Snow killing HalfhandDaenerys going through with blood magic and then killing DrogoRed WeddingArianne locked in the tower Jaime losing his handCersei atonement About these are the scenes that "taught" me the most, for the want of a better word. brashcandy
Probably the very first one Martin wrote in the AGOT Prologue: the reappearance of the Others.
hodor stark
when the sarks find the direwolves i mean GRRM has said thats where the whole series comes from and he just thought of it randomly
Ti-Guy
Rickard and Brandon deaths. If Brandon had just been in a dungeon for a certain time all the rebellion wouldn't occur IMO.
nara
I don't count anything that happened prior to AGOT, so I say that the return of the Others and the Dragons are the most meaningful events. They will make the Game of Thrones look like Candyland.
Corvo Attano
plot-wise, probably Ned's execution/imprisonment. The biggest game-changer in the WoIaF is probably the return of Dragons & Others.
Pikachu101
Rhaegar and Lyanna Cersei and Jaime Four idiots who caused the deaths of thousands <_<The biggest game changer had to be the Red Wedding.

Grand Moff Mithrandir
Dany marrying Drogo. This marked the beginning of her emancipation. If she hadn't marry Drogo she wouldn't have received the dragon eggs as well.
