And Littlefinger wanted to abduct Sansa.Lady O could have worn it herself, or have Margaery wear it. Sansa is expendable to her, and of course LF is a self-serving prick. I think her words was something to the effect of "putting a stop to it", which could easily mean she did/said something that spoiled the thing, even if she didn't intend to - and equally possible, she may simply be lying about it.
