Dynamic duos

I swear, I don't get it. Stannis arrives at the Wall and tries to take over. He commands what little resources they have to be given to him and orders people around constantly to the point that when Jon does act and orders the beheading of Slynt, he checks in with Stannis! How is that a bromance??????

Stannis shows more affection or camaraderie towards Jon Snow than he does towards his own wife.

(That's not to say it's a lot, because it isn't, but there you go.)

It's clearly been too long since I saw this movie since my memory is Glover being cautious and conservative and Gibson being crazy. And lusting after Glover's daughter. Damn, maybe it does work....

I ship Jon and Shireen too. Heart of ice and heart of stone.

Jon is so bromantic :)

Jon and Stannis. Best bromance in the series.

Jon and Sam. The best bromance of the series.

Robb and Jon

Stannis and Jon it's pretty much Lethal Weapon

Jon and Tormund or Tormund and his member

IMO best dynamic duo is Jaime and Brienne. Neither of whom are my favorite characters. Or Stannis and Davos.

Which duo in the series holds the prestigious spot as the most dynamic in your opinion? Any category, any two characters, though preferably acquainted. Motivations appreciated but not required.

From first book to last:

1. Ned and Robert/Jon and Sam (the best friends who had each other's back)

2. Tyrion and Bronn/Gendry and Arya (the prince and the pauper volume)

3. Arya and The Hound/Jaime and Brienne (the opposites attract theme)

4. Brienne and Podrick/Doran and Areo (the utterly loyal dynamic duos)

5. Quentyn and Gerris/Jon and Aegon (the family you chose motif)

Stannis/Davos, Stannis/Jon, Sandor/Arya, Jaime/Brienne are my favorites.

Stannis shows more affection or camaraderie towards Jon Snow than he does towards his own wife.

(That's not to say it's a lot, because it isn't, but there you go.)

Jon's interactions & thoughts about Stannis entertains me to no end :D

"Does he want me to say I love him?"

"Do I need to make you swear to a heart tree?"

"Lord Snow, I am not one to bear tales, but there has been talk that you are becoming too ... too friendly with Lord Stannis. Some even suggest that you are ... a ..." (this one's esp. funny taken out of context )
