1- I would have no problem with that except for the part about Arthur being alive. That seems a bit far-fetched.

I think of it as

He is campin on the Tridant the night before the battle with Dany. He knows he can't win against her dragons conventionally but then he remembers another potential battle where the odds were stack against him and he won, He'llremember Renly and how he defeated him. He ask Mel but she says no cuz it will kill him, this is after Shireen's death and the GNC happens an Stannis will be a little unhinged at this point so he will keep asking and begging and eventually he gets to the point where he won't take no for an answer and forces himself on her. Later out of pure spite Mel does create the shadow babe at the cost if Stannis's life. And doesn't even send it after Dany, maybe she uses it on herself.

1. Wouldn't mind if A+H = M+J but unless it's important to the plot somehow I don't see why he'd put it in. I would be annoyed if Arthur Dayne 'the KG does not flee'.

2. Jon's a typical Northman and we've seen that northmen don't do well when it comes to Southron politics, wouldn't mind him being KiTN (though I think it should be Bran or Rickon) but only if the NW is dissolved.
