Fragile Bird
There is a series of murder mysteries with the central character being a young girl, Flavia de Luce, who loves chemistry (and of course is brilliant at it) as the key person who solves the murders. The author is Alan Bradley. All the books have quirky titles. The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie - the book that first caught my eye back in 2007The Weed that Strings the Hangman's BagA Red Herring Without MustardI am Half-Sick of ShadowsSpeaking from Among the BonesThe Dead in Their Vaulted Arches (coming out next year)But I always loved the directness and simplicity of the titles of Andre Norton's Books.Witch WorldStar BornThe Beast MasterThe Crossroads of Time
