Really glad they'll develop Craster's story arc ! More meat for Bran's story. Possibly even more meat for the already juicy Jon's story, possibility of developping Grenn and Edd and the return of Karl and Rast ! Great news !

It's worth noting we've had like two different actors cast as Lord Glover, and he's never said a word or been named. Lord Blackmont may be nothing more than a glorified extra.

Why he's Lord Blackmont and not Lady Blackmont -- or if they really wanted a guy, Lord Uller -- I don't know. These sort of random tweaks to such minor details that serve no real purpose always puzzle me.

For whatever reason, GoT seems intent to match or surpass Spartacus in employing adult entertainers. A little baffling.

I couldn't give a damn about nudity or adult situations , except for scenes that uselessly waste time.

What I want to know is why return to CRASTERS KEEP?!

By Sam II in SoS we are done with it, at least as far as I remember.

As far as I can see it's gonna be a scene of , I hope brief, massacre by The Others and a party of Wights on whoever stayed at the Keep.

Otherwise time spent there is a waste of time.

It seem fairly clear that the battle for the Wall is pushed right to the end of the season. Which means that, for whatever reason, they have a big gap of Jon having nothing much to do in the first part of the season. I guess this is their solution to that problem, given their adaptation choices.

Filler for Bran to stop him from getting too far ahead.

Should be a good opportunity to introduce Coldhands.

Should be a good opportunity to introduce Coldhands.

That is interesting.

I guess as Ran mentions not much for Jon to do for say the first 5 episodes, tho there will be certain characters arriving we have not seen in a long time , could invent some drama there.

Does that mean Jon is going to make a foray to Craster's Keep?

Maybe he will be north of the Wall to round up survivors who are still loyal to the NW?

I am figuring there is going to be more extended drama in the Wilding camp.

There is a rumor that the NW mutineers remain at Craster's Keep where they are tormenting his wives. Bran and Co. stumble across them and the Mutineers take them hostage. I'm guessing Coldhands will rescue them and slaughter the mutineers.

As for Jon, it's hard to say. It is obvious that they are saving the big set pieces of the battle for episode 9 with Neil Marshall in charge of that stuff, but there's plenty for Jon to do until then. As you say there will be some good drama with Thorne returning along with Slynt to antagonize Jon. I agree that they will have some good scenes with the wildlings, especially with the inclusing of the Magnar of Thenn this season. As for the NW they could mix things up for example by starting the elections before the major battle, and Jon's imprisonment. The battle could be episode 9 and the results of that(along with encouragement from Sam) could sway the NW to elect Jon in episode 10.

It's a little sad that the producers no longer try to get good actresses willing to get naked, and directly cast porn stars. But at least they are being honest about the purpose and nature of some of the scenes they include.

I don't really have a problem with casting porn stars when it's one off scenes. Though of course I usually have a problem with the one off sex scenes themselves, but you know that seems to be the way D+D are running the show, little as I may like it.

Random Prostitute characters aside, I'm interested in the casting of Lord Blackmont (though I doubt he'll be much more than an extra.) and Craster's Wives. I expect that that will be used to flesh out Bran's storyline a bit more, a give a bit of closure for Rast who has yet to get his comeuppance.

Brace yourself for the influx of posters complaining about gratuitous sex scenes on a show adapted from a book filled with overtly sexual content.

It's not the sex that's the problem, it's the gratuity of it. I'm hard pressed to think of any sex scene in the books that doesn't serve some purpose, either through plot or characterisation. Not so in the show, where it's often purely used for titillation.

Then are they gona bring stannis to the wall early? Maybe make jon snow lord commander before the battle?

Craster's Keep mutineers will most probably be used for the introduction of Coldhands... I really long to see Burn Gorman as Karl again !

Him and Karl could also be of some use to Jon's story arc (after he hears from returning Edd and Grenn what happened and still happens there : raping and pillaging)... Jon could eventually decide to send a patrol to kill them...

They could even do a scene where Coldhands saves the day (well, at least the day of Bran and co) by killing both mutineers, Watchmen and wights, but that would be waaaay to much ! ^^

Anyway, there should be enough material for Jon to last until the battle : recovering from his injuries, learning what the fuck happened south, tension with Thorne and Slynt, defense of the Wall against quick assaults... and then WHAM, big battle in episode 9 and Stannis saving the day !

Question is : what the heck is Stannis gonna do until episode 9 ?

They could have him arrive at the Wall earlier but it would ruin the surprise effect of his charge which is too much of an epic moment to miss...

Maybe, as many said, they could develop something linked to AshaYara's storyline... having him capture her or cross paths with her...
