Spartan64Destiny
Lady Jenna, Jamie's aunt stated in AFFC, "I have known you since you were a babe at Joanna's breast. You smile like Gerion and fight like Tyg, and there's some Kevan in you, else you would not wear that cloak....but Tyrion is Tywin's son, not you." All in all every fan on this forum has to admit that Jamie Lannister is a more palpable character in ASOIAF and he is actually turning that corner for the better. I think he's one of those off beat characters that you love to hate and later on start to admire or tolerate GRRM style. Its just too bad he had to lose his sword-hand in order to realize the honorable and good person he was meant to be.
Steve Stark
That's a great question....I'm not entirely sure. My guess is that it was not made of Valyrian Steel, although I would venture that it was a good quality weapon.
Roose The Weddingcrasher
Why would you make a Hammer out of valyrian steel? Terrible waste and no benefit. lol what?

Cloud
This won't end well ETA: Although he's still my favorite character, redemption or not.
David Selig
Jaime is still a terrible person, whining about his sister ten times per page doesn't make him "redeemed".

Mithras
I think Brienne has an enormous effect on Jaime, one he does not even know.
The Wolves
This is a man that has bought a civil war to almost every home in Westeros, he's the reason why Westeros might not have a fighting chance against ice zombies. Jamie is still a arrogant, narcissistic, child murdering piece of shyt
Ghost's Shadow
Ask Bran if he thinks the man that threw him out of a window just because he got caught f*cking his sister has a heart as golden as his hand. FML.

Meemaw
A good person will not push little boys out windows or want to cut off a little girls hand just to make his whore of a sister happy.
Bearson
Don't know if I would use the word "good guy" about Jaime. Wouldn't use that word about many in the asoif series, really. Jaime crippled Bran who not only will never climb again as he once loved, will never walk or father children, so even when/if he ever assumes his place as rightful lord of Winterfell he will not produce any heirs of his own. In "return", GRRM has Jaime's sword-hand cut off, leading Jaime to experience the same despair Bran felt when he realized he would be cripple. Yet they both build new identities from the ashes of the identities and futures they have lost, Bran as a greenseer, Jaime as Kingsguard finally taking his duty seriously. If some guy IRL was convicted of nearly succeeding in killing a child, had his hand cut off in prison, then got out some years later, I would not consider him redeemed either. But I would also not consider him the same person if prison had made him understand his wrong, and lead him to seek to become a better person. And that person, is someone I can understand readers relating positively to.
Winter's Knight
Jaime is still a terrible person, whining about his sister ten times per page doesn't make him "redeemed". A-men. OP: "not as bad as Tyrion/Tywin" isn't exactly high praise. *cue tidal wave of "Tyrion's a good guy!" posts*
Thormund Stark
Is he a good guy like Ned, Jon, Sam, etc. No he isn't but unlike most of the bad guys in the story he's actually trying to change and whatever the case may be that's still worth something, he's still one of my favorites either way. Stannis Eats No Peaches
I like Jaime. He's my second favourite character, but he's still a terrible person.
Arthur Dayne's Honor
He is a good man but has done horrible things and I for see why we should "back off". Oh, he is changing for the better! I guess that means he is off the hook for trying to kill Bran and looking to kill/main Arya. I like Jaime but I don't see why we should forgive him.
