  1. Another question is. Can a dragon kill an Other? How much are they useful in the cold? I don't think the dragons are the answer. They are a threat. Fire as much as Ice, are the threats converging to Westeros. Moqorro is also part of the Fire's Another question is. Can a dragon kill an Other? How much are they useful in the cold? 2. I believe Euron will have one. Possibly Moqorro will keep the other. I don't see fAegon with a dragon. Neither Jon.
  3. A lot of ifs, with no evidence. Nothing suggests Lysa didn't want Robin. Whatever she expected from LF, Robin was before. Jon had 2 wives before, with nothing better than stillbirths. What is difficult in accepting Robin is sick, damaged? Even if it was poison, as unlikely as it is, the damages are there. The boy is wasted.
  4. Maybe LF is doing it. But is seems difficult to keep someone consistently on the doorstep of death from the birth to the age of 8, with poison Which one would do that? Every poison used in ASoIaF has been described some way before Besides Lysa had 5 miscarriages and 2 stillborn before Robin. No wonder the boy is sick.
  5. I don't think. He seems seriously ill. The maester barely keeps him alive when he has his crises. IMO manhandling him would kill him.
  6. Sweenrobin? This boy? Husband to Sansa and father of the Starks to come?
  7. No need for that. So far Rickon is not dead. He is somewhere, likely Skagos. Not in traitor hands.
  8. Yes. But if the CotF created the Others, there is no human fault. Nothing wrong with what they did. Just like a meteor falling on Earth. But the humans, first of them, the kings and the lords, did things wrong. Both Old Gods and Seven followers talk of divine punishment. Even Tywin, not shy of killing princesses, children and unborn, not shy to massacring innocents, will balk at killing his son. OK the gods seem powerless. OK the rivalries didn't help prepare for the Long Night. But I feel it would be more fitting if the humans were the cause the LN and the coming of the Others. As is explained in the legends. ETA: Besides, the war with the CotF was hundreds or thousands of years before the LN. The Others would have been created, but powerless and unknown for hundreds of years? And come to light (if so to speak) much later, when men and CotF were at peace? Not the most likely possibility.
  9. I don't think Bran will leave the cave. Anyway, he can't' be king of 6 kingdoms he doesn't belong to The 7 kingdoms were a thing of the Targaryens. The kingdoms will regain some autonomy. Not just the North. The IT and KL will be totally destroyed and not rebuilt. Jon will not be king. He will form a new Watch, not against the return of the Others, but to prevent future wars between the 7 independent kingdoms. The Starks seemed successful at protecting the North. No army of their own. But they could call their bannermens. And they would come, if the cause seem just. Like they did for Ned, and after for his "little girl" (even if Stannis was doing the call). The Starks are loved and respected. No one (of importance) made alliance when the Andals, during the invasions. They all stood together. Jon could do the same for all Westeros, "I am the watcher on the walls. I am the fire that burns against the cold, the light that brings the dawn, the horn that wakes the sleepers, the shield that guards the realms of men". If a kingdom invades another, or if a king becomes a tyrant, he could call the other kings, and assemble an army sufficient to deal with the problem. sufficient even to dissuade would be conquerors. Whatever the means, Jon is the PtwP, the "gift of the gods". This will mean a lot in ASoIaF. And the story will have a feel of finish. That mankind paid a lot, but they got real peace in the bargain. Daenerys will return to Westeros with the Dothrakis. But they will be no "peace keepers". Their religion is tearing down civilizations and it's what they will do (or try). Meereen will be a disaster (is already). The plague killing almost everyone. Volantis and Ghis bringing home infested slaves and soldiers and spreading still more the plague. Daenerys will lose 2 of her dragons, to Euron who will be the arch evil in place of the NK who doesn't exist. Maybe another dragon to Benerro and the Red Priests. There will not be a single Other to kill to abort the Long Night. The Night will come and not just the North will pay the price. The Others were not created by the CotF. They are servants of the Lion of Night, the death god. And they can't be defeated. I believe they came because of the evil deeds of men. Jon and the men of good will will have to "fix" what's wrong to have them leaving. In this way GRRM story is still a message about climate change. I believe the legends about Yi-Ti and the Long Night are relevant to the contemporary situation. Rickon will not die. He will be the KotN, Lord of Winterfell. Not sure what Sansa will be. Val will be Jon's wife. fAegon will conquer most of Westeros, but not KL. He will be loved, meaning Daenerys will not be wanted. I suppose Cersei will keep KL. Not sure if she or Daenerys will destroy it. Maybe both. Jaime is the valonqar and he will kill Cersei. Valonqar means they are the Aerys' bastards, not Tyrion. I've some idea how it could be revealed. But it may be left to speculation. Anyway there are enough parallels between the Aerys' 2 daughters.
  10.   Thank you for the news and your efforts. Does it means there will be a new snapshot of the current IPB 3 database, and the current posts will be saved? Or IPB 4 will start again with the database state of July 14th?
  11. 1) I was seeing a very sick person, looking older than his age. Because he is always in his bed or chair, and has not much taste for food, he should be just skin and bones now, with not much flesh left. His hands are very hard to look upon, the joins impossibly swollen, red or blue. I would see him much in pain, and looking very tired. Contemplative, most often lost in his thoughts, exploring his political and war options. Or lost in his drugs. Speaking with few words, but clear and precise. Very determined, because he would need a very strong will to dominate his pain and continue to live and fight. His determination draws the respect and love of people close to him. 2) Acceptable in stature and build. But I was seeing in Siddig someone too smiling and energetic. Too young also. But I was not concerned. Actor's play and makeup would do the trick. 3) I knew Siddig from Star Trek DS9. From there, mostly my perception of a too young and happy guy. I saw him nowhere else. I found nothing remarkable, good or bad in his play. For me, he was a rather simple character in DS9. I was not especially thrilled by his cast for GoT, but not worried either. I find Siddig playing good. Doran control of Dorne is unquestioned, his intelligence and understanding of the situation perfect so far. But he looks too healthy to my taste. It seems nothing would prevent him from standing up and walking normally. He doesn't seem at all diminished. While his character should have been fashioned by his disease. 4) None but the short video announcing his casting for GoT. Liked it. If only because the actor seemed enthusiastic to be in GoT.
