How long was it? And how short is it now?

Bangs covered around half my face getting out of the shower, the back and sides were shoulder length and very curly. Now I'd say the top is two to three inches in the front going to one to two in the back. Hard to tell because of the product. Sides and back of my head are buzzed to a five or six with a slight fade. Also got a comb and styling gel that might work better. Still have the small spot in the back that's thinning a bit, but people say it really isn't that noticeable. We all see our flaws more than most of the people around us. I don't think I'll grow it out like that again though. Short hair just looks better on me. Wish I looked good with a buzz cut, but I don't and I know it because a lot of girls in HS told me. I'd buzz it before the start of each sport season cause I hated helmet hair and long hair playing basketball really sucks if you can't tie it back.

You asked me to use my imagination? Are you sure about this? :D

So lemme picture it. So to get in the mood, you went to a restaurant, had a fine bottle wine, then you went home and put on some music, which I just assume was the Beetlejuice musical. Yeah, I think I am getting the picture. :P

What can I say, it's part of our culture here:

Butler out for at least a few weeks. I doubt they survive long enough for him onto come back.

Miami is in a bad spot long term. Butler's contract isn't great, but they could dump it in a year. Bam is a nice player on a good deal, but he doesn't have much value if they have to rebuild (which they should). Herro's contract is good enough to get something. Overall I just don't think this roster has much left in them and they shouldn't cling to how they overperformed the last few seasons.

  4. Well today it finally happened, cut almost all of it off. I found it to be fun having long hair, but it was time and frankly it didn't look the best. I'll miss twirling it with my fingers though. There was so much on the floor, lol. That said...

Only the evil dog seems to disagree. I am now a stranger to her, but she's coming around.

    Um.....spotting is a bitch

It is, but if you love someone you'll do their laundry and not think twice about seeing it.

I am with DMC on this one.

There are better ways for you to come out as a Republican than with a Red Elephant thong. Yes, I am assuming this was a political statement better placed in the US politics thread.

No, not going in the other direction with that.

She liked that I could fill up the whole trunk. Sleep with that on your mind.

Socks are about the only clothing item I am really particular about.  For years my partner has been trying to ween me off of Smartwool socks (due to the price) for some 'equivalent' and its just never the same.

I buy way too much Ralph Lauren shit, but I'm not married to the brand. The only thing I'm not compromising on is Calvin Klein boxers. Black regular boxers for every day and black boxer briefs for working out. Whoever thought white underwear was a good idea should be slapped in the face. My ridiculous old red elephant man thong made more sense than that shit.

Surveys found that the overwhelming reason why married with kids couples have less sex is because of two side effects of having children.  Less alone time where spontaneous sex could occur, and less sleep which reduces the sex drive.  I can't really speak for married couples with no kids, although I would say my wife and I had basically the same amount of sex before and after marriage.  Marriage was not the big change, it was having kids.

I've always read that men and women just hit their sexual peaks at different times. Men are more horny in their teens to mid 20's and women are in their thirties. Plus relationships tend to have a 18-24 month period where you feel infatuated with one another and then it wears off, hence having to work at it. And then like BFC said people just have different sex drives in general. My ex-fiancé looked into getting medication because she had zero sex drive if I wasn't initiating things.

Hard pivot, I just found out J's ex died. I don't think she knows cause they're not friends on FB and she just ignores him when he texts (not sure if she said she blocked him or not). I'm going to tell her, but I'm worried she'll take it hard because once we got together she stopped talking to him and I know she's going to think it might be her fault. It's not, but she probably will feel that way knowing her. Not going to be a very fun call.

ETA: That went better than expected. She appreciated that I told her, was somewhat sad, but more than anything she was relieved. Her biggest fear with him was that he might try to hurt me, her or the little man. J did blame herself a bit, but not as much as I expected.

I don't understand why they tried so damn hard to win that final game. Typical Knicks dumbshit. Thought we were done with that.

    One word: Thibs.

If everyone is healthy I think Philly should be the favorite, but Embiid isn't and you can never trust his health. The main fear for the Knicks should be if in a series defending Brunson can be solved. If they can do that the Knicks are fucked even if Embiid isn't himself.

Perhaps it isn't so much that they look for unpleasant people but rather that the people who are willing to work there and engage in blatant lying, dog whistles, fear mongerimg and all the rest end up being the unpleasant types.

I just always find it amazing how "journalists" can work for one network expressing very strong one sided views then get hired by a different one and strongly express the exact opposite, then again get hired by one that's also opposite of their last gig and think they have any credibility. Talk about selling your soul for a paycheck. Even @Jace, Extat isn't that messed up.

  10. @BigFatCoward

More new socks from my preferred high end brand, this time I went with a bunch of random colors (blue, red, yellow, green, navy and orange). Thought it was supposed to come with pink and purple too, but oh well. I have to go return something else anyways so maybe I can get them. No wiser words have ever been said on this forum than praising new socks. They feel amazing.

Fuck I am going to spend way too much money tomorrow.

Chelsea winning 6-0 and still managing to walk away with negative headlines because of fighting over a penalty is very funny.

I missed the game for various reasons and only saw the results this morning. You and your crew of hater flunkies can go back to your home on whore island. And I hope you get attacked by a swarm of oversized ducks with laser beams on their frickin heads before the volcano there explodes.

Yeah. That's a particularly US thing (and basketball in particular). Manning is still top 3 even though he won one SB and was carried to another).

Richard isn't considered better than Gretsky.

Messi is not considered better than Maradonas because of his CL and la liga ssuccess.hes just considered more successful.

By most accounts Shearer is top 3 PL player of all time, he won one trophy in 15 years.

Manning was actually carried both times and Idk if he's considered top three anymore. The better NFL example would be what to do with Rodgers in the all-time rankings. He's probably the closest thing to Wilt in a different sport whereas Brady is a bit more like Russell.

Messi and Maradona is tricky because Messi is the better player, but he gets dinged in Argentina because he left the country at a young age. Pele is again the interesting comparison to Russell.

Can't really say anything on Richard or Shearer.

I hate this way of thinking, he played with about 9,000 Hall of farmers, Wilt owned him when they played (he outscored him by 14 in head to head, and had 5 more rebounds, i'm sure if blocks were counted he would have won on that one as well), not his fault he was mainly surrounded by lesser players.

If Russell was so great how come he only made 3 first team NBA teams to Wilts 7?

Everyone knew who was better then. I don't care if he won a million bazillion rings as part of the deepest team in sports history.

You can argue he shouldn't be considered top 5 for your reasons listed. But how was he not better than Russell? Not 'greater' I'll give you.

Well rings in the NBA do matter and when the gap is that large it stands out. And Russell won more MVPs. There's an argument to be made that Wilt had more team success when he reduced his role.

Boy, and a few years ago they had the number one overall pick and you just sort of thought "Here they go, gonna be good for another 5-10 years."  And then James Wiseman happens...

Ant was the top pick that year. The Wolves chose wisely.

I don't know about rankings.  Top 10, Top 15, a lot of that is splitting hairs.  But I know one thing, you can't tell the story of the NBA without Steph Curry.  He changed the game and the way it is played at every level.

Curry's impact on the actual game might be greater than any other player in NBA history.

For me there is a clear top 6 (Wilt, Kareem, Bird, Magic, Jordan, LeBron) depending on what you value he could be anywhere from 7th to 15th.

Jordan, LeBron and Kareem are locked in as the top three and Russell should be ahead of Wilt, wherever you rank the two (I always say top 12 because Idk how you rank either of them given just how different the game was back then).

Who would have the cap space/a spot for him if he decided 'i'm not spending the next few years playing on a 7-10 team'?

And who would have the assets to give up, without stopping them contending?

Cap space might be tricky, but I think if he asked for a trade GS would take pennies on the dollar to help him get to a contender. A couple of picks and swaps, a young player with upside and some bad contracts might do it. I just don't know which team can make that deal.

I still think he might just want to be a Warrior for life, but getting one more ring cements him as a top 10 all-time player (I think he already is) and that may tempt him to leave.

I think it's time for Klay to go home and be a family man.

He's washed. Having those back to back injuries for sure cut down his longevity. Still a first ballot HoFer though.

I think we saw a dynasty die tonight. Green is pretty cooked as well and Steph can't carry the team anymore. He can for a night, but he needs a lot more help to make one more push and I'm not sure who they can add.
