Watchmen: Nostalgia is a helluva drug. (spoilers)

Season 2 should open with Lube Man breaking Nite Owl out of federal prison. I could also see Trieu coming back with the fancy Jesus scars in her palms or Doc. Manhattan reassembling himself and doing more space shit.
  2. It sounds that way being thrust upon the completed trilogy as we know it today, but I think he probably could have made it work in an interesting way. I like it when writers experiment and do weird stuff like that.

    The Mandalorian (Spoiler Thread)

    The Mudhorn had it coming.

Also they are maintaining a rate of pretending to shoot Baby Yoda in the face of once every two episodes.

    The Mandalorian (Spoiler Thread)

It was about a third of the way into this episode I realized I was watching a really expensive, really immersive, highly polished commercial, and it totally killed my enthusiasm for the show.

How you gonna call me irrational with larrytheimp bringing up dog comparisons like some fucking Republican pastor talking about gay marriage? I've admitted a few times what I'm suggesting is out there, but I don't see how I'm not being "rational." I understand what I'm suggesting is against the law, and I've said why I don't think it matters. If you think I'm full of shit you can just ignore me, I'm not even posting about it anymore but in response to people who quote me and keep the fucking conversation going. I've had people calling me names over this, presenting jokes I made in bad faith, lecturing me about drinking (again I don't, like at all), responding to my posts two, three times in a row, sometimes just with emojis, and now I'm the fucking troll? I've been posting in these threads for years, fuck out of here with shit. I am so done talking about this.

My point in bringing up Maybury is not that I want it reversed, just that people didn't always act like the existing norms are so ironclad that they can't be challenged. Few people mentioned that, thanks.

    Bakker LVII

Idk but I'd love to see the more noxious portions of their fanbases fight to the death.

No, not really. But some people took it that way.

Didn't say or imply anywhere that it was to scare middle America, I have no idea where you got that from and I really don't get why people are taking the idea this personally. Like, you don't need to be name-calling, lecturing people on perceived drinking problems, etc. I've honestly gotten less shit defending the Vietnam War (not really but kind of) in these threads than I have in suggesting AOC could be a politically viable VP candidate.

I don't think it would hurt them politically tbh, even if the Courts ultimately made her step down. Republicans are already saying the most inflammatory shit they possibly can, and have been for years. "This is a flight 93 election, it's time to rush the cockpit", "If Hillary wins I'm grabbing my musket", etc. I really think the key to the Democrats moving forward is to appeal to people who who wouldn't otherwise vote, and she lights a fire under people. And so, btw, would a very old, very white Republican Congress suing the a Presidential nominee's running mate for being too young. It's something that would get people talking, and it's a signal that maybe the Democrats are moving away from being so risk adverse.

You know there is a school of constitutional thought called 'original intent' that often does seek to intemperate to the constitution by applying what the Framers intended rather than what they actually wrote down. And you absolutely could make the argument that applying such an age limit, in the digital age when people are becoming more and more educated at a younger age, is itself unconstitutional.

    Super good comparison.
