Hello from Benioff and Weiss

If they are still having the Raven flying over Westeros in for the opening credits, then Maybe George should be a Maester finishing a letter that is attached to the bird. Then his Cameo will be in every episode that gets aired.

Perhaps you have found a skilled director who shares has a love of the books?

    Hello from Benioff and Weiss

    Hello from Benioff and Weiss

This awesome news. Thank you guys so much for giving us updates and offering to make available the proper channels for sending our resumes. It is also great to see that where many of us on this board thought the pilot should end lines up perfectly with what you guys are doing. I have said it before and I will say it again, I don't think this adaptation could be in any better hands.

    Hello from Benioff and Weiss

Thank you so much for 1) beleiving in this series and writting a pilot script good enough to get an order for the pilot, and 2) giving fans of the series the opportunity to make suggestions Surely now, if anyone had any doubts left, which I didn't, we know that this production is in the very best hands possible.

    References and Homages
Dimadick, IIRC, battle of Poitiers, and not Tours, occured in 732. And Martells could be a homage to whiskey.
There was a battle in 732 that is known as both The Battle of Tours and The Battle of Poitiers, fought between Frankish and Islamic armies. There was another Battle of Poitiers in 1356, fought between English and French forces.
