  1. Having just watched the episode again, it's clearly understandable why episodes 1-6 aren't exactly mind-blowing. I can imagine most of the budget went on filming this episode and probably 9 and 10 too. The episode was absolutely brilliant from start to finish! Loved the Tyrion and Dany scenes, and I'm now 90% on board with A+J=T theory! I also think this is a spoiler for the upcoming books in the fact that Tyrion will advise her on her invasion of Westeros and eventually introduce her to Jon (3 heads!!) Lena Headey is arguably the best actor in the series, the way she portrays Cersei is awesome. I think the walk will be one of the final scenes in E10. Nice to see Kevan has come back too, although I fully expect him to die by the end of the season. If there was an award for most improved actor/actress then it deserves to go to Sophie Turner. I enjoy watching her scenes now, I fully expect this revelation from Theon to be her make or break moment. And now to Hardhome......just WOW. Everything about it was fantastic, even the slightly walking dead-ish wights! The Night's King is absolute home run Stark in my opinion. RE: the criticism for D+D. Personally, it's evident to me that they know what they're doing. Through 40 episodes I could probably name you 3/4 bad episodes which is not something I can say for nearly any other TV show. Yes, this season has been a bit slow and some of the episodes I watched haven't been great in my opinion, but when you compare it to the previous 4 seasons then they've set an incredibly high bar. I can't imagine they'd include anything in this season that won't be relevant later on (yes, that includes Dorne). I think they've done an incredible job bringing one of my favourite book series to the small screen!
  2. For me it was one of the better episodes of the season. Yes that incudes the Sansa scene at the end which I personally don't think it was unnecessary at all. Yes it was a little bit uncomfortable to watch/listen too, however I think that D&D will use this as a platform to help bring the Theon back from Reek on the basis that what he witnessed was so terrible that he no longer wants to be a part of it, rebuilds his character and will eventually help Sansa escape (with the help of Brienne?!). My favourite part of the episode was the whole KL side of the story, that scene between Olenna and Cersei was brilliantly acted. With how things stand right now I struggle to see how Cersei gets arrested?, especially with both Loras and Margaery locked up. The only conclusion I can come up with is that Littlefinger/Olenna team up with maybe the help of Lancel, who will confess to the faith that he had sex with Cersei as well as her relationship with Jaime. That would be right up LF's street in the way he causes havoc, especially considering the conversation he's just had with Cersei. It'll be great to see how that pans out. Dorne is thoroughly boring TV, I can only imagine that they're going to give them a bigger role in season 6, otherwise it is a complete waste of time, that fight scene with the Sand Snakes, Jaime and Bronn was an absolute farce, I was just sat there staring at my TV like "wtf have I just watched?" almost laughable! Jorah and Tyrion is a surprisingly entertaining duo, although any scene with Tyrion is entertaining for me. Kudos to the FX team for the scene with Arya and Jaqen, it's good to see they've spent more this season on the CGI element. Brilliant! On a seperate note, it makes me laugh watching people get so irate about the shows. We all knew the books would deviate a lot more from the books this season so what are you expecting? I always find watching the episodes without comparing them to the books all the time helps me enjoy them even more.
  3. Yer, big fan of the show, favourite characters in the show are/were Oberyn, The Hound and Tyrion, books it's Jon, Jaime and Tyrion. Not that I needed reminding! :bang: Thanks!
