I think it's fair to say there has been enough discusion about Stanis/Danny scenes and the lack of substance in all of the other scenes.... My question is where did GRRM say that 4 characters die in the show that do not die in the books (specifically the number)? Are those 4 Hizdar, Selmy, Shireen, and Mance? Is Hizdar definitely going to be dead? Is he too minor a character to count? Does anyone think that anyone else can be included on this list or taken off?

I think that the wildlings were more "cornered" surrounded by land and snow, not next to the ocean which is the only reasonable escape for scores of people. If they were waiting to corner them they had plenty of time to do so before Jon and the ships got there.

I thought they showed the dragon glass after Wun wun did his best impression of the Kool-Aid man.

I don't think they could make Hardhome as dire in the show. They wanted to show the action so had to have Jon there. In the books sounds like it was all but hopeless and all were lost.

Awesome episode.... Loved T&D verbal sparring. I'm not sure why Jorah looked at his grey scale and Merreen before joinging back with the slaver? I don't like how much they are telegraphing Ollie killing Jon. Loved Arya's scene and where her story is going (hopefully). Now for Hardhome I don't know how anyone can not love this scene. Wun wun mentioned by name and kicking ass. Loved the Jon vs Other scene and Tormund kicking some ass. This was probably mentioned earlier in the post but what does everyone think about Qyburns scene? He was clearly cut off by Cersei when discussing her one option. I don't think he was going to say confess, he was going to suggest a trial by combat. Only he couldn't because Cersei went off and then the septa came in. Clearly we know the march of shame takes place so does that mean a trial by combat is out of the question?
